I'm excited for Primrose Cottage, Stitching with the Housewives, and Erin Elizabeth Designs that are coming out. Need to start a crafting budget! Happy Stitching! Tray, Lucky
Jenn Lee (Quirks and Stitches, 24 Hours of Cross Stitch) came up with the system I use to help determine project sizes: *add stitches across by stitches high *divide that number by two That number then determines the size (and if you wanted to allot time, how much time/days): 1-49 = Mini (1 day) 50-99 = Small (2 days) 100-149 = Medium (3 days) 150-249 = Large (4 days) 250 + = Big Assed Project (5 days) Hope that helps!! I had so much fun watching you ladies today! Working on my floss blings for everyone at the retreat! Getting SO excited to see everyone! Chocolate Cake is the BOMB!! Emma, you do you. We ALL have plans. And plans change. Brandi makes an excellent point. These patterns, flosses and fabrics bring us joy. Why deprive yourself of that joy??? I’m so excited to see your new home, and see where you put your lucky tray!!
The tier tray has such a lucky leprechaun on the tray. Buying and selling a house is such a stressful event. We bought our house 3 years ago, it took 3 months to process. We helped our daughter buy a house so she didn’t have to pay over 2k a month for rent. That process took 6 weeks but was very complicated. But we are very happy now.
Love all the things you shared and great Nashville picks! Emma - if you want to break your no buy, BREAK IT! You get to decide and if buying a pattern, or 10, brings you joy, do it. And you don’t need stipulations. Start them if your heart says to start them, or admire them in the package for a future start! See you two soon!
Loved this video. Such energy and laughter. Miss Em do what you want. You make and break your own rules. Lol! The tray! Oh and that puppy. So adorable. I Cant Wait for retreat in April!!
I thought I had left a comment in the tray, but apparently my lucky charm didn’t work today and I can’t find it. Another terrific Flosstubes ladies. Looking forward to a tour of Emma’s home.
So sorry about the new home situation - everything happens for a reason and you will be there and settled in before you know it! Good luck! Looking forward to your next B&E zoom brunch. One lucky person will get to stitch that adorable St Patty's tray.
another lovely video ladies! you are so lucky to have each other doing these videos together 😍 your projects are great and you are really entertaining - also love the real life and no cutouts - that is life 😬 thankfully you didn’t knock over a tray 😉 your market picks are very similar to mine - just break the no buy and enjoy life 😬
I don’t have a Cricut, but craft stores sell paper punches in shapes that you can choose a shape. I’ve even repurposed cereal or other food boxes that are thicker cardboard. And use the punch for flossdrop shape and flosshole I also use hole punch for used floss extra strands. I even bought decks of blank cards like playing cards and can write with sharpie, use rubbing alcohol to wipe the sharpie off. Can decorate with stickers. Endless.
A sewing machine is a big ticket item and preferences are specific to everyone. You need to get out and “test drive” different brands. My aunt wouldn’t have anything but a Pfaff. I sewed on hers and didn’t like it. I tried a Baby Loc. It pulled the fabric into the needle hole when starting off, so that was out. I have had two Berninas and wouldn’t sew on anything else. I have toyed with trying a Juki. A local shop sells them, but I haven’t been out to give it a try. It’s best to buy one from a local dealer instead of on the internet so you will have support for any questions or problems. Happy shopping and find one you will enjoy using.
Yay for Disney AND the Poly!!!! That is definitely something to look forward to (along with all your other fun plans)-I am a Disnerd, too! 🥰 We do the matching shirts too-so fun! Sorry to hear about the hard things you guys have been going through; I hope your March is full of all things positive and happy! ❤ Great seeing y’all-always enjoy seeing your progress!
The only pattern that I bought is Frosty Tiny Town, but I would feel so lucky if I could get a pattern with a tray. The patterns from market are going to be around for a while, so I decided not to buy more than I needed. Happy stitching!!
Great inspiration is going on in this video. I was surprised, no Teresa Kogut, in your picks. Emma, no one could ever hate you. Follow your heart. Buy the patterns. The question is, does this open the floodgate, or do you go back to no buy? In the end, is it impulse buy or not. Brandi, I have those birds on standby and kitted with the silks and I may stitch both colorways. I agree the drum may hide the sentiment. I was waiting to master linen first and it may be my first silk stitch. I have others silk patterns kitted too. 🫣. I'm feeling lucky to have so many choices.
I would be so lucky to have a beautiful tier tray with lots of pretty stitches. I’m working on it. Emma, now that you’re buying a house, don’t be so quick to buy everything you love. Even over a few weeks your tastes can change. I bought so many charts when I had FOMO that I’ll never be able to stitch in my lifetime. And new projects keep coming out. Make a list, look at it once in a while, buy what you love when you can stitch it. Those charts will be available for a long time. Don’t waste your money on patterns to just sit in a box. You might need that money for other things in the future. Having a house is not cheap. There’s always something to fix, change, etc. Just being a friendly Grandma whose gotten wiser over the years. I have thousands of dollars of craft projects in boxes that I’ll never use. Could have gone on some nice vacations instead. Experiences are worth more that material things!!!
If I were to buy a basic sewing machine, I would look at either Janome or Baby Lock. I have/had both brands and they are great with a wide range of styles and prices.
Hey, if you are going to be a librarian, Emma can check out the patterns she loves! 😂 😂 😂 I ordered 2 Primrose Cottage....the 4th of July rules and the mini monthly book.
Sewing machine. Thread cutter, automatic threader (maybe), speed control (stop/start) on front of machine along with a speed control so you don't have to use your foot pedal and you can really manage the speed, also a reverse button by the start/stop button, a bobbin that's visible from the top so you don't have surprises when you run out of bobbin thread, you can see it coming, a "tacking" stitch option, a fairly good sized "throat" if you get into quilting your own items, a walking foot if you're going to do quilting or other thicker "stacks" of fabric. I have a Juki HZL-F400 Exceed Series Computer Sewing Quilting Machine that I really like. Also, for my piecing I use my SINGER | 9960 Sewing & Quilting Machine With Accessory Kit, Extension Table which I also really like. This less expensive machine works well, too. Brother CS7000X Computerized Sewing and Quilting Machine, 70 Built-in Stitches, LCD Display, Wide Table, 10 Included Feet, White. But, do shop around. Have fun!!!!!
Hi ladies! Laura from LalaDee Stitches is also working on the Lord's Prayer and has had some issues with the border that she went into great detail about on her last Flosstube. Maybe it will help you avoid the 🐸. Happy stitching!
I'm minimizing my collecting this year.. and I have to say that all of the new releases at Market are making it REALLY hard to stick to. I've got a huge wishlist right now. The good news is that nothing that I have on my wishlist is a limited edition or a market exclusive, so they'll be available when I'm ready to do some purchasing. At least your retreat is coming up soon! I won't be going to one until October - we'll see if I hold out that long! 🪡👠
Good Morning Ladies, Omg Our Lords Prayer,Santa Brought a Christmas Gift, dinky dyes, please you must stop this enabling! Emma praying things will all work out for your house. Ranger is so darn cute, puppies and dogs aww make life so much fun. You truly make my morning so happy, see you at the Zoom on St Patrick's Day. Stitch and BUY what makes you happy. Brandi you would be so lucky if you could find a tray dedicated to put your fancy floss in.💗
Emma, you are so lucky to be getting a Golden puppy. They are such sweet dogs. I’m on my third Golden. Love seeing all of both of you ladies projects. How can I order a Whipper Keeper from the New England Stitcher?
Hi ladies! Hobby lobby has a cabinet that’s really similar to the one on your pattern! Take a look you may get 🍀 Lucky! I think I saw it in a natural Brown but it could be painted! Love your wips so much and Emma your blue flower is lovely ❤ I would think hard before I moved onto a home that’s not closed on Emma , I have moved 14 times in 20 years and you really shouldn’t trust someone you don’t know until that very final walk through is done. That’s just my opinion though but I would hate to see you regret doing so. Your first home should be fun and not troubled for sure but love your furbaby❤ adorable!😊 blessings until we see you again! Tray! Almost a hundred percent of market charts will be available always, I would get into my home first Emma. Do what you want to though and believe me designers have lots of support monetarily, come see my collection! 😂
Can you explain what “the DeStash” or “Stash Unload” is? On Symphony of Friendship, what if you stitched the birds individually and hung them on a tree or a branch?
Hello, Brandy I would love to apply for a library card, where do I sign up? I love your chocolate cake and I may order one. If you both lucky, you may just get all your pics.
I'm excited for Primrose Cottage, Stitching with the Housewives, and Erin Elizabeth Designs that are coming out. Need to start a crafting budget! Happy Stitching! Tray, Lucky
Great floss tube, thanks so much girls. So excited for your retreat, I’m sure it will be wonderful! Tray, lucky 🍀

do it!!! life is too short! buy what you want, stitch what you want and enjoy every minute of it!!!

I never cut my fabric either. I always have a blanket on me LOL! No one will hate you for buying :) Tray, Lucky 😊
I thought I had left a comment in the tray, but apparently my lucky charm didn’t work today and I can’t find it. Another terrific Flosstubes ladies. Looking forward to a tour of Emma’s home.
I bought 2 patterns but started them the day I bought them. So I fully support this Emma. 😂
So sorry about the new home situation - everything happens for a reason and you will be there and settled in before you know it! Good luck! Looking forward to your next B&E zoom brunch. One lucky person will get to stitch that adorable St Patty's tray.
Brandi..I hope you get lucky and find the tray you want for your threads at dollar tree. Hope to see you both again soon!
Finally catching up. Buy the charts! Curate the library!
A Janome skyline sewing machine I would be lucky if I were given a tray of Nashville Market Release patterns. Thank you for another fun flosstube.

I am so lucky to know you both. Love your projects. Brandi have a safe trip and Emma good luck with the move. Tier

I just found your channel, y’all are fun to watch. I am also in love with EEDesigns, a tiered tray pattern would be awesome! Thanks!

If I were lucky there would be food on the tray! Loved your video! Beautiful stitching!
I can carry a tray. I’m lucky not to drop it. Great video.
I am loving all your stitches! Tray, Lucky! I love my library too. Good luck on your house Emily.
My Disney heart is so happy you are going in November! Love all your projects, but that variegation on Winter Quaker - wow!
Hobby Lobby has dollhouse pieces. They have a big selection and might have shutters. Love your videos. Love the tray and lucky. Thank you.
The only pattern that I bought is Frosty Tiny Town, but I would feel so lucky if I could get a pattern with a tray. The patterns from market are going to be around for a while, so I decided not to buy more than I needed. Happy stitching!!

Lucky, tray. I’ll be at our meet-up in Bangor on St. Patrick’s day but you can still draw my name.
I am a Bernina girl and would recommend them. Go into your local dealer and try before you buy.
Hey, if you are going to be a librarian, Emma can check out the patterns she loves! 😂 😂 😂

The stash unloading is a Facebook page!
Hello, Brandy I would love to apply for a library card, where do I sign up? I love your chocolate cake and I may order one. If you both lucky, you may just get all your pics.
