Lane splitting is legal in Japan and there are lot of bikes and scooters so people are more aware of them. And probably yes, generally speaking, people tend to be a bit more patient and polite here. I bumped into side mirrors bunch of times, never got yelled at so far 😅

It's a LOT less busy. City traffic is still not that small especially since more people take the car instead of the train. I rode up to Tochigi prefecture about a week ago and some parts of the highway was literally empty. Google GPS data also shows 50%+ reduction in movement.

ですよね！がんばって大型二輪頑張ります、、💦
音圧(排気量)がかなり違うんでマフラー変えても厳しいですね。
分かりやすく例えるなら小型のスピーカーと大型のスピーカーでどっちが振動や迫力出せるか？と考えてみたらなんとなく分かると思います。
スリップオン程度だと、あまり純正マフラーと音変わらんけどフルエキゾーストならFOXさんみたいな大型レベルまではいかんくても250ccクラスでの高音がはっきり分かるくらい出る。ただ昨今の排ガス規制でJMCA対応でもフルエキゾースト入れたからといってスリップオンと対して音質変わらないとか聞くけど
