Wow! Why have I never heard of you before? Please keep dhrupad going and don’t let it die! Thank you for pursuing it. Were the swarmandal sounds added on? Or is someone outside the camera view playing it?
Firstly I’m amazed to not have heard about you before. However, I’ve met Shamsuddin who you’re associated with. Secondly and more importantly you made me stop what I was doing and to feel that transcendence that very very few have given me. This is serious music heard after such a long time!!!
To my knowledge it’s in Rajasthan. But looking out of their door into the lush garden I’d say that they don’t necessarily live there. Mewati is the name of this house of music because it originated there. Just like there are many musicians who belong to the House of Gwalior, it doesn’t mean you live there.
Indeed a pure form of mariah. Yes it is devine.
Thank you dipak.jee

He's not just a national treasure, but a world treasure. Truly a divine musician.
There are echoes of Puriya Dhanashree here!

Did anyone notice the change in the light outside from both the door and the window? And it happened within half an hour!
Excusez mon ignorance, but where's Mewati?

Tal is jhap
It is Soolfaakhta, which is also 10 beats.
I know
But according to chhand and bols it is jhap taal
Can you explain a bit more? Is it because both are 10 beats?
Beautiful.
Thank you
