Totally loved this analysis, just like I loved the game back in the day, please please, make more of these!!!!
I totally forgot about this game. Thank you! I love space harrier. I will try this on my emulator today..
Just discovered your channel. I'm liking what I'm seeing. Keep up the good work.
Stage 4 always put me in the mind of an oil refinery or chemical plant.
I love the music in this game. This is something you don't get with modern games and musicians. People see action game and they think they have to write techno or rock music for it which is so generic. Double Dragon 1 and 2 had the same kind of vibes.
I noticed this has like Jazz music.
Really nice detailed video, I hope this Channel grows fast because it deserves it.
Well done and keep going 💙👌
Thank you so much 😀
Nice work, as usual! Keep up the good work. I like the sprite work in this game, pretty clean.
Thanks 😊
Wow, love the review and the graphics analysis.
Thank You.
Sega first had the "super scaling" in Turbo, but the projenitor to super scaling can be found in Sega's Buck Rogers arcade game.
I see inspirations from Activision's River Raid (though they used a "jet") in this game. Narrow levels. Occasional split pathes that reconnect. Flying vehicle solely shooting at ground based objects.
It even has the top down perspective.
Wow those Atari 2600 days
I have this on the 3DS collection, its really cool with the 3D effect
I seen videos and it’s flawless
Awesome review. Love retro SEGA games. Missed out on this one, but there's always emulation.
Top video
Sega was so ahead of their time...
You should mention that emulated like that it doesn't include the scanlines that would show on the arcade screen. Scanlines would makes the graphics better looking. Emu's can also emulate the scanline but you won't be 100% sure it would truly reflect the arcade screen version.
I don't use scan lines at all.
Nice video! However, how could you allow all that bilinear filtering in the intro? :P
Because it’s for the intro, for looks. I do that to all my videos. To make it look nice
Out of all arcade games Thunderblade impressed me most technically when it came out, the 3D effect scaling was incredible, a big step up on Outrun or Afterburner. Not so impressive on the Master System unfortunately.
I mean even the Genesis was not a good port. You can’t blame the master system. Not even the Genesis had the power to scale one single sprite.
@@playnalisis I agree, but it was the Master System version I played when my friend got it, before we even got the Genesis (Megadrive to us in the UK).
this sounds like its written and read by an AI
I write the script myself. But the voice is AI.
@@playnalisisNo offense, but that's like what every AI YTber says when accused of being an AI. Then they go on to state that they're trying to find someone new to voice videos.
That said, this game is kinda niche compared to other Sega super scalers, so I have an easier chance believing you here.
@@Fools_RequiemI am not going to pay anyone to use their voice for video. But I will keep using AI voice for my videos.
If you want to pretend you wrote a script this soulless and bland, that's fine. But anyone familiar with the AI is painfully aware of this essay style.
This game was never considered all that revolutionary or a timeless classic, by the way. It was a gimmick that added an unpolished overhead view to a familiar gameplay style.
And ripped off Blue Thunder, because Sega didn't take copyright law very seriously.
This channel is better than SEGA Lord X. Good work 👍
Wow, thanks!
