As a teenager without any prior knowledge about Cha-Cha, this is one of the best explanations I've heard. Thank you for giving us awareness of these kinds of things.

Do not simply accept what he said that the 1973 constitution is for Marcos and the 1987 is for the freedom from thr dictatorship. Actually read them and make your own conclusions.
Also read about the parliamentary system and look at what system wealthier countries have.

@@purpleapple6 its only a simple short explanation about cha cha and yes the 1973 constitution wasn't really for the freedom from his dictatorship rather for the change in political diversity inside our government because of the so many changes na nag pagulo sa loob. but needless to say this though the explanation he did was good and comprehensible for the many uninformed.

i've been hearing, seeing charter change or cha-cha on the news since i was a kid. and i need to watch this to educate myself again and again. aminin ninyo ,minsan dahil sa sobrang corrupt na ang pilipinas nawawalan tayo nang gana to learn about our own country. pero we should be responsible citizens and alamin natin kung ano ba ang maidudulot nito. sino po agree?
Agreed.
PH never had continuity since 1987 because the new president discontinues projects started by the previous. The 1987 constitution is also anti foreign investments. PH only accepts one if they have a local partner that owns 60%. That turns off investors because they can't even own their own businesses. That's why PH is left behind by its neighbors.This forces Filipinos to look for jobs overseas because there's not enough jobs (or jobs are low paying) created by the local billionaires.

It's worth noting that RBH 6 and 7 focus solely on economic reforms, without touching on any political reforms. The support from both foreign investors and local businesses for economic charter change is encouraging.
While I agree with Rambo's points about the process of charter change, there's a concern about his claim that it could lead to term extensions and only benefit politicians, which isn't accurate. In reality, it benefits all Filipino people.
There's no need to worry about the resolution of both houses number 6 and 7, as it will be thoroughly discussed in the Senate, allowing for further debates and considerations.

I support federalism so that every region/s provinces will grow not mainly on NCR very centralized, look unfairly happen to mindanao though I am from Luzon but it is so unfair for them they are left behind when it comes to progression. And prosperous not only in the main cities but also to other provinces. Well, amending economic restriction is slowly happening the good thing which more foreign investors will invest to philippines let see how competitive they are, more investors generate more jobs to filipinos and Philippines economic growth every year is stable highest in ASEAN what if, if were in a open fdi it will be the highest in asia...

Yung mababang PISA score, paano tataas yan kung di makakakuha ng makabagong mga educational practices galing sa mga banyagang pamantasan o paaralan na napatunayan nang epektibo sa kanila at maaaring epektibo rin dito sa atin??? Samantalang bilib na bilib mga Pilipino sa mga nakapagtapos ng kanilang mga pag-aaral sa mga dayuhang pamantasan at paaralan, tapos eto tayo ayaw mismong papasukin dito sa bansa itong mga kinabibilibang pamantasan o paaralan. Halos lahat ng problema natin ngayon ay nakaugat sa sistema na pinapairal ng konstitusyon! Kaya mas napapanahon nang baguhin o ireporma ito ayon sa panahon at pangangailangan ngayon ng bansa natin. Nagtiis na tayong lahat sa kahirapan sa loob ng 37 na taon, panahon na para sumubok ng iba pang solusyon sa mga problema ng bansa.

For me, it is about time to change the constitution, since it is one of the key steps in Economic Reform, I mean yes the massive and extreme Red-Tape is still a problem but going for the Economic ChaCha will also trigger our lawmakers to tackle this issue, or, let's all be honest, if we allow 100% Foreign Investments on at least Public Utilities-Services and Advertising, at least the Foreign investors can still endure the Red-Tape issues since they know they will have it back on their ROI, because this is Southeast Asia and aside from SG, for sure some of our peers had Red-Tape problems as well, but of course we need to fix it as well. So let's go for Economic ChaCha and bring jobs with better pay in our country, then once it is done and we are educated enough, then let's explore the Political one, if we really need to change it, because maybe we only need is the Economic ChaCha and the political one, we can just do minor revision like voting the Presidency and VP together as one vote and have a clear distinction on the ConAss that the voting of 2 chambers must be done separately, so there will be no more of issues similar to what PI is aiming.

The Philippines is always dictated by whoever has power. To put it simply, the strongest predators are the ones who stand at the apex of the food chain. But how many of them do you think actually used their power to attain that position? Im sure it took most of them many years of careful planning in order to achieve it. In the end, the system we live in revolves around these people. The ones who currently sit at the top are the elites and oligarchs. We need to understand how they're able to control this system. 34 years of suffering and grief from what we call the Freedom Constitution and remains untouchable. Subsequently, the socio-political-economic system fashioned by and for the elite and the oligarchy enshrined in the 1987 Constitution has so constricted an all-encompassing growth unable to keep pace with progress and the changing needs of society. The irony of it all is that laws perpetuating these deficits are legitimately framed by those controlling the levers of political and economic power - the two lawmaking bodies, the Senate and the House - bastions of the oligarchy and political dynasties.On the economic front, these defects are attributed to the constitutional provisions restricting foreign direct investments (FDI) attracting foreign technology and capital that create jobs.
But how much longer this system continue to exist?
If the ones who have power (elites and oligarchs) are the only ones who can survive, then what will happen to the rest of the people of the Philippines? Maintaining order gives birth to opposition. How will the people of the Philippines deal with corrupt leaders that govern them, when they possess strength that is equal to that of the Heaven? At first, it'll be hard. But as the days pass, they'll eventually come up with a solution. When that time comes, the Philippines will once again enter into a new era. It'll be the prelude to a dynamic shift in history.
So my point is, if you want to live your life to your hearts desire... you need eyes that can read the flow of how this system is corrupted from its core. Someone who has both knowledge and insight of everything that goes around us.
Keep in mind that were only just in the beginning...

7:45 - I agree on this part, the only thing that is good on the first attempt is making the President-VP a tandem vote, but no to term extension. See this is the problem why we have a stigma to ChaCha, even some ChaCha attempts like the Du30 admin one there that has a good intentions, or just like the Economic ChaCha that is currently proposed right now, most of us are being misled or having a malice to a political one and term extensions since it always being like that. Out of all provisions that is needed to be revised on our constitution, it is always that term extensions. From the time of Ramos all of the ChaCha attempts had always to do with the term extension. Why can't we just simply break the ice by having the Economic ChaCha only or other provisions. The current constitution, out of all of its misgivings had the perfect provision in terms of political terms. If there is one thing that we should not touch in the Constitution is the term of any government positions.
