Will be completely open source hardware after the project has finished!
Get a versatile RLC-Box with 7...8 decades of resistance, capacitance and inductance.
Connect the 3 components in series and/or parallel with only 2 switches and you have a multitude of passive combinations.
High-Pass, Low-Pass, Band-Pass, Bans-Stop, RLC-Series Tank-Circuit, RLC-Parallel Tank-Circuit...
An excellent piece of equipment
I was gonna ask about it when I saw it on another of your videos, looks interesting.
Good luck with the Kickstarter. It looks good but is out of my price range and I would have very limited use for it at the moment. I'm looking forward to seeing the final version.
I wish I had known about this a few weeks ago. I have a batch of boards I plan to etch today (including that EMI filter I was bugging you about). One other prototype I'm etching today is my first attempt at making my own rotary switches for a resistance box design. I didn't find a premade resistance box with the exact values I wanted so I created my own simple design. I am really curious if I can build a high capacity single turn rotary mechanism from scratch. I'm using some hardware from a broken multimeter rotary switch for the first attempt.
...In other words, I'll probably buy this to replace that pile of parts shortly :-)

I just learned today that you had a kickstarter campaign for this box. Can I still purchase one of these bad boys? Please dm me.
Thanks
Great, something super useful, adequately priced, and i still can't really afford it :P Oh well, like so many other things out there.
I'll still throw something into the hat when i figure out my Kickstarter credentials, they're there somewhere.
Wow! This looks great!
I've been looking for components for a decade resistor box. I'm planning to use 1W, 2512 (6332) SMD size for below 10R and through-hole for above that... So this is very interesting.
Love this. Would have liked it even more with 1W or even 2W resistors.
Yeah, but the switch is only rated for 150mA. So with the lower resistor-value there would be a potential hazard to destroy the expensive switches by overcurrent. Better burn an SMD-resistor before the switch-contacts die :-)
Can you put the jack's at the top so they don't have to snake around? Just an idea
The switches have to be placed in that kind of "V"-like arrangement because of space-constraints. So there isn´t any space left to place the binding-posts all at the top.

Oh, I see. No problem.
Nice project. Alas, it is a bit too much money for mu hobby budget, so I pledged 5€. Hope you reach your goal.
THX for your support
Can i buy one of these now in 2020/2021?
Yes. There are a few follow-up videos with the improvements in the deluxe model.

Standard model here: www.ak-modul-bus.de/stat/rlc_box_standard.html
Interesting but the price is prohibitive for makers, good luck.
Is it possible to make a second order low pass filter or high pass filter with this RLC-Box? (:
Yes. I already shot a video to demonstrate this but still have to finish editing. It will be online next week.
why talking about point to point connections instead of showing them.. like opening up the enclosure
It´s shown in the EMSHO-Video here: ua-cam.com/video/2UI3HwWVqUE/v-deo.html
But the Kickstarter-Version will have dedicated PCBs at each plane of the rotary switches and the "wiring" will be mostly PCB-traces on the top-plate. So there will be only 3x3 wires going from the rotary-switches to the top-PCB.
