The Subspace ball that engulfed the island erects a GINORMOUS cannon that randomly takes up a part of the ocean (not that it really matters). Team Good + Dragoon Kirby destroy the cannon and enter the Subspace, where they head into the core to confront the enemy once and for all.
Meanwhile, Ganondorf backstabs Bowser to get all the credit, only for more ensuing backstabbing and weird last-minute introductions to take place...
And this is it. The final battle to free the Smash Universe from evil. The final battle that will dictate who rules over the land. The final battle that shall define the true ending to this story. The final battle which will become the foundation of a future brimming with hope overcoming ultimate despai-

I really love how samus’s gunship, fox’s arwing, captain falcon’s falcon flyer and olimar’s hocotate ship all fly towards the void in an armada

The next smash game should have a masive crossover campaign to put subspace emisary to shame, yeah the workload would probably be insane since now there are more than 60 characters, but if someone can do such a thing is definetly nintendo, i doub someone else has the resources and creativity to do such a thing

MASTER HAND: Well I'm still here now and am going to stop you. I probably should use a finger laser or bomb or like teleport behind you at least and grab you but charging head first worked so well the first time - (gets knocked away) I regret everything!
MARIO: (Group comes in) Oh a no this... Dr. Manhanattan esque figure has done the work for us and taken out our a greatest threats.

TABUU: That's a whole lot of nope! (Turns them all into trophies) Ha ha ha ha ha I could of done this the entire time but apparently didn't want to. And now for the next logical step: just leave them here without destroying the trophies and gather these random worlds together to possibly blow them up while making a stairway appear that I clearly don't need. Granted from what I've seen, only one gun besides the three heavy cannons could be used for ship to ship combat. The rest were point defense guns.
Plus the Halberd Dorsal cannons couldn’t Damage the Armor On their ship

I mean, look at him! He's like Dedede's height! This would make Ganondorf like 9 feet tall, which he is not! I've played tons of Kart and Party games where they make him a lot smaller so he is a playable character, but this is just ridiculous! He's not a croucher! What happened to the super strong Galaxy Bowser with universal powers of destruction? I wish they would have used him with Subspace where it would make some sense. At the end you lost all your beloved characters. Evil is won. All your efforts are wasted. You feel helpless, because you can't do something with this world. And this world is doomed. After realizing this truth, you fall into despair and get depressed. All you can do is just looking at the map on the screen. Well, you would definitely curse the company, throw the gamepad on the TV and start crying enough. But you see, that the new level is available... It this is not the end?
