just working hard and since we love filmmaking we put every penny we make back into our gear.
Our key goal with all our videos is to make them feel immersive and invite people to see the world through our eyes. We are all explorers and we just try to help you explore this amazing world we live in.
the shot at 1:12 of the arch is shot on a slider. We have a great 3 foot Kessler Crane slider that pops right onto our tripod. So most of the shots you see with a little movement right or left are most likely on the slider. Shots inside the slot canyons like the very first shot were shot on our Glidecam x-22. It's the version that has the jacket with an arm and a gimbal attached.
Thanks man! The Red Epic isn't cheap but it shoots an amazing image. It has HDR capability, so we can get a wide range there. We were also careful about what time of day we shot all our locations. The equipment is expensive, but we work hard. It was tough to make that first down payment when we first bought the camera a few years ago. But we knew if we wanted to grow as filmmakers we needed the right tools.
So why was this video not encoded in HDR?
The colors are amazing. The exposures classic. So smooth too. The rest of us can only seek to learn from you. What a great example you two are. Thank you.
I want to cry, i want to smile, i want to live, and i want to explore. Im only 17 years old, but there is one thing that i'm sure i want to do, and it this. You're videos are amazing, i admire so much your work, how do you do that? what did you study? I need i little advice for to know what to do, i hsve a idea but i don't know if it's the best. My dream is. travel, i love photography, filmmaking and writing, i would like to tell stories and enjoy each moment, i want to see each corner, each culture, each landscape.
Sorry for my bad english and thank you for read this comment.
It‘s been years and I always come back to your video. I used to watch and and dream about travelling the world and just listen to this absolutly stunner of a song by Taylor. Years later and all the feeling and thoughts are coming back. Thank you guys!!!!!
Will come back all life to enjoy this masterpiece!
The clarity of the HD is just fantastic. Thanks for the beautiful images, keep 'em coming!
So glad you enjoyed it! Make sure to check out our other work and let me know what you think.
Thanks! Yes, we are working on it! It's good to hear that people would be interested in it. Sometimes it's more difficult to be in front of the camera then behind it....
undoubtedly the best of the 4k series. the music just tops it off just perfect
The shot of horseshoe bend at 0:30 was shot with the Cannon 5D mark III a time lapse on a moving slider.
I would like a behinds the scenes! I learn more from watching the craft done than hearing an explanation of the craft.
Thank! Your music is amazing as well!
This in 3D must be beautiful! :D
To visit Antelope Canyon is on my list of "Must Do" things in my life. Thanks for sharing this and the other beautiful Plateau area scenery with us!
Love ur works!! Keep those 4k coming..
Thank you for this amazing piece of art!
It's 24fps, not 60.
This is phenomenal. Such smooth rocks... looks to me like a wonderland.
Loved the use of the steadycam, gave it a cool sense of movement. Great work as always
Your work is always so gorgeous!
very good, beautiful landscapes!

This is Gorgeous Filmography ! Well Done !
And it really pays off! I know how hard it can be to produce only a few seconds of video, there is so much work involved in the process and it is a hell lot more than just filming and uploading! You are really doing a great job, keep that up!

Stunning! Glad I found your channel and subscribed. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!
I think the people that read NoFilmSchool would find your behind the scenes worthwhile. There's many profession photographers/videographers there. I am certain they could learn from you, especially on how to improve handling the Red. Like I said, your Red videos are the best.
the lens was Canon's 16-35mm, it was at a pretty wide angle to get the whole canyon in shot.
OMG my eyes have fallen apart.. Such an amazing work!! You guys inspired me-
This is just amazing! Thank you so much for this! :D

Ah... thank you so so much for posting this video! I just visited all these sightseeing last week.
There are a few time lapses that were shot on the Canon 5Ds, for example the shots at 2:07 and 2:15 are time lapses, and there are a few more through out the video. Otherwise everything else was shot on the Red Epic.
We were close, we were on the other side of the Grand Canyon by Page. Same area, but not much blue water.
Awesome footage Jake and Katie!
You Sir are brilliant, this video is awe inspiring
Remindend me of the best holiday of my life. Great video

Amazing beauty amazingly captured by an amazing artist. Hats off to you Sir.
We shot a lot of it in Arizona, including Horseshoe bend and the slot canyons.
amaze-ballz! Nice work!
thanks. wish we had a 4k tv too. if only someone would send us one......
Stunning as always.
wow, badass. makes me homesick for southern Utah
I wish we could shoot hand held and get those steady shots....it's tough to hike in all our equipment to these locations, but it's worth it.
Just... gorgeous!
I have a 1080p monitor. At fullscreen, I felt like I could literally reach out and touch the things in the image. Awesome work.
1:11 is exactly like this dream I've had over the years where I'm walking that path and I can never get to the end where it just stops. It keeps going on and on.
This entire film is amazing.
Amazing! Keep up the good work.

amazing work man!
very nice to watch, good job
sehr schön, werde ich diesen Sommer besuchen :-)))
Wonderful!
Big up to A. Taylor and You, lovely video but the music just makes it perfect! Would be great to have it!
Think of this this way to get 3840x2160 resolution you'll need four 1080p TV. 2x horizontal and 2x vertical. That might help the confusion.
Thanks
Is that little wild horse canyon after the goblin valley shots? Looks really great! Good job.
Amazing!
Always faboulous!
Encoded at H264, it was about 6.8 gb
