Evan Zeng Wang Hao and Ma Lin had problems with the new ball and but I felt adjusted well. In this match there was no doubt Wang Hao was going to win. Chinese player are routinely laying back the first game to lower ranked players and pour it on in later games. Noticed how Wang Hoa crushed him in the later games. He needn’t have retired and could have been a top 10 or easily top 20 player in the world but the chinese cycles demand world class players move on into coaching in their 30’s, to super league then national team allowing the next crop, xu xin, Ma long, zjk etc to come up.
and he was already half retired by that time too. He was more focused on other things i guess and the possibility of coaching was in his mind (see fan zhendong match) where he was there to help develop the younger generation.

You can see by Wang Hao's body language that his mind and heart were just not in it. The hunger was missing.Its why he retired that year i guess.
