@@nielsensmn you know there is a easy way to do so if you unlock extreme mode get on it in the middle of the story or go to close end of the story and check from the mysterious item shop keeper
If you pre-order it it gives you the black swords man jacket and Asunas stuff plus her weaponry but that’s not important....if you buy the pre ordered version it also adds a small secret area that has mobs that drop all the materials you need

The Nocturnal Coat is male-exclusive, sadly. As far as I know, the closest female variant you could get would be the Daybreak Coat. Might not look as cool, but it makes up for it by being WAY more easier to get. If I'm not mistaken, you can buy it from the Medal Trader in the Lobby fairly early in the game.

Can I get this without PlayStation Plus+ or do I need PlayStation Plus+ to play PvP to get the coat?
I got my materials by attacking certain npc.....the monster bloodstone came from the abyss guide for example
And in prder to get the recipe got to the squadron pvp lounge and work your way to the hunt for the character with the recipe
