I saw them the night before, Friday 18th. They played on our stage at Green Man Festival in Wales. Wondreful! I'd no idea what to expect, but the performance was great. Possibly it's their fairwell tour. Would be sad to never have the opportunity to see them again.
I went to this gig with my brother unfortunately he suffered a stroke 3 years ago,he has seen them 4 times and he's seen them 9 times starting in 78,me my sister and niece travelled from Liverpool telling him we were going sightseeing,he had no idea,2 of his lifelong mates were there as well (also spuds) and we're willing to carry him up 74 flights of stairs but someone was looking over us because 20 mins before the gig we were able to get disabled tickets as 2 people had cancelled,we paid £20 each for them and gave ours away (there are only 8 disabled seats available which is shocking if you ask me) he didn't know until 10 mins before the gig we were going to see DEVO he started crying (tears of joy) what an unforgettable night and it was a privilege to experience it with all you spuds that were there,we had t-shirts made up and everything! ARE WE NOT MEN!!!! increase the peace my fellow spuds! :)
Amazing! I came from Liverpool that day too! It was incredible. It was my first time seeing Devo and I’ve been a fan since I was a kid.. I’m so delighted you managed to get tickets but agree it’s really bad there’s such poor disabled accessibility. Made up for you though.. it was my favourite day this entire year and I’ll remember it forever… see you back there in 50 years 😉
Came up on my Facebook timeline from 2018 when i said that Devo were one of my all time favourite bands that i would never get a chance to see. Man never been so glad in my life to be wrong, Totally amazing gig and playing Mongoloid and Booji Boy makeing an appearance was the icing on the cake.
@steverose1977 yes I did ,but I'm missing the right sleeve (wich was bearly hanging btw) ,because some else tried to get it at the same time ,even thought I grabbed first and I told him ,yo ll rip it, but he didn't care because....... ,so he got the sleeve because he pulled it like an ox thru the plough while I got the rest of it !
It was the BEST show ever !!! Fan since 1978, never saw them live untill now. A dream come true !
