I love it. I'm not a huge fan of the super sculpted edges. It just screams "I'm wearing a wig" to me. Obviously, it works better with some styles, but for this one I think the natural looks great.

I don’t know why wigs that aren’t natural on us was even normalized and made the standard of hair beauty amongst black women. U should be trying to make others think it’s your hair, not making it clear as day that it’s somebody else’s hair. Others do this as well, they wear fake hair but it’s natural to them, and blends with their real hair so they can easily fool anyone.

@@aprilswales8866what do u mean not look like it’s done? That’s very anti black to say, why does our hair texture always have look undone and unkept but other women with silky straight hair, their hair is automatically done? I’m really tired of u insecure bw projecting your insecurities on other bw. This is why bw wear bone straight wigs instead of wigs that look like their hair because of the stigma that anything closest to our texture is not done.

No shade to anyone but I am so happy that wigs are starting to mimic our textures and not everyone else’s. They’re becoming more diverse and versatile. I’m not sure if this has to do with demand or technological advancements in film/cameras… anyways I never saw the point in trying to fry my hair or stress about blending to make it look Eurasian. Wigs that were curly but super straight at the roots make me self conscious because it doesn’t look natural on me. I love my hair I’m not set up trying to manipulate it everyday to oblivion.

Never!!! I’ve had natural hair for 20 years and the thought of some European type hair wig just give me the creeps. I’m so grateful this video came up in my feed because it has inspired me to actually think about buying a wig just like this. I’m about 90% on board with getting one but can someone comment on how this wig would hold up for a person who works out vigorously 5-6 days a week? I mean if I sweat will the wig glue disintegrate and make the wig slide off ? That would be very embarrassing in the gym 😮

    • @LeaEspinoza12345
      @LeaEspinoza12345 Рік тому +2

@@colormebluu1768 I know you asked the original poster but I also bought this wig for Black Friday sale and got it in my hands right before Christmas. The wig is holding up really well and I wear it almost everyday. The only thing I didn’t like is that the lace is always lifting. I’m accustom wearing wigs for years now and I always use Got2BGlue.y body chemistry works well with it so my wigs usually last all day or two with just a layer of spray and it lasts up to 5 days with the actual gel. However, with this wig, the Got2BGlue left a white residue on the lace and the lace only laid for like an hour before it started lifting. I tried another brand of gel and same lifting issue within an hour. I’m going to order the Ebin and see if that works better. I think it could be the fact that this is HD Lace. All the UA-camrs who wear hd lace wigs use Ebin line of products now. So I’m guessing Got2BeGlue is best for the normal Swiss lace wigs but Ebin is ideal for HD lace. Even though this wig has HD lace, the lace is very durable. I haven’t had most fraying at the edges of the lace and it blends SEAMLESSLY. Like the melt is amazingggg. The wig is thick but not too thick that you look like you got a lion mane on your head. I flat ironed the hair eventually and it holds the flat ironing well. Only when I wet the hair, it reverts to its original texture. The edges also curly back up once you wet it because I flat ironed one time to see if it would and it did. I do find the curly edges hard to lay into baby hair though. Very similar to natural edges where no product works for long to keep our edges laid. The hair does get dry with light tangles if you neglect it for a few days (I’m guilty of that). But it’s really good hair. You have to bleach the knots though and I found that some of the knots were more stubborn than others to bleach so keep that in mind. Let me know if you need any more info. I’m happy to provide. Tried to cover everything in this comment so excuse it’s length 😅

Update: this wig sheds more than usual. My only real CON so far. I can’t see this wig lasting as long as my other high end wigs. I’d maybe give this wig 6 months of frequent wear. I usually get a year to 2 years with my other high end wigs costing $300+. I think this wig is mid range quality since I paid mid range price (on sale, I paid $230 for a 18 inch length with a 13 by 4 inch lace frontal space). My other wigs are almost $400 so makes sense

YES!!!! IDK why there is a stigma on bw showing our natural styled edges (especially 4 textured hair) with natural 4 edges on kinkier hair units it makes the unit look sooo natural, its always a give away when there's a kinky texture unit in the 4a-c range, yet the edges gives 3A texture😕
That IMHO has everything to do with giving antiblackness and it just screams and looks 'fake' (if you're going for a real natural hair look)
I wear my edges out in it's natural form if/when I wear a unit...yet I noticed positive, good attention from almost everyone EXCEPT black women, almost on some inner misogyny/inner anti blackness!!! Most bw seem to view kinkier edges as very very unattractive and they seem to get second hand embarrassment when/if bw decides to wear hers out🙄
I pray that we get to a time when this is not the case anymore, and hopefully this style of edges in this video for a unit becomes the new norm and the trend and gets us as close to there as possible

    • @butterflygirl01

@Beige Ojai - Love you girl, love your work!!!! As usual, slayed AF!!! Gurl, you killed those edges. New subscriber!!! Nice sponge technique. Tip: You dont have to bleach knots if you are using lace tint. It covers the knots. Also, fun tip... Sally Hansen facial hair bleach bleaches knots much quicker, and better(safer). Also, also, if knots dont come out light enough, spray some Sun-in type product on knots and use blow dryer to further lighten. Give a thumbs up if you want me to do a video.

This is the ULTIMATE Kinky wig tutorial that’s giving me so much life! I always tune in to Beige as you’re my #1 go to, dynamic Guru and elite professional!! LOVE YOUR TALENT!😘 Kinky straight is my all time favorite so you hit the mark with this one! Definitely love the sponge method, and want to recommend another that’s just as good. I use a good makeup brush. I lightly dampen it, and spay on the black Ebin to the makeup brush to go around the perimeter with ease and no mess. I feel that the sponge can soak in a lot of the spray, but honestly, both can do that. Thank you! Thank you! Your tutorials are truly educational and the BEST!! I will order! Happy New Year!!!😘🥳🎆🎊🎉🎈🍾🍾🥂🥂💛💚

I enjoyed watching your editorial on the new Kinky wig. The wig was well made and out of the box, it was amazing and natural.
I love wearing wigs but I love wigs that are ready to be used out of the box. If I going to pay a good price for a wig it needs to be ready to go and I can style it to accommodate my face. Bleaching is just too much for me. I always with my lace front I always put Some makeup tin on my laces front on my wig edges. You did an amazing job.

First off, you look so beautiful in this wig.
So I'm very new to applying wigs. The hairs all clump together every time and it always looks a mess when doing spray or glue. The hairs are like cement when I try to fix it, by the end I just take it off and give up. 😮‍💨
    Your sponge method is brilliant!
I can't wait to try, thank you for sharing.

    • @BeigeOjai

Yes!! I know exactly what you mean-- a trick for removing those hairs that are stuck down to the gel is by using a baby hair brush and wetting it and brushing those hairs that have been plastered down. It releases the gel. The sponge method is good for temporary wear, it protects your edges because not too much product will be applied and it also stops the hairs from clumping together 💕

Thanks for the tip with the makeup sponge. I’ve been using a face shield to keep the spray from staying on my forehead. It creates such dryness and scab.
