I fit in with my friends and the people I surround myself with. Theres no point in trying to fit in with the popular kids if you feel like you're not like them. Find people who are like you, and you will fit in with them
what if you don't fit in with any groups
I know a lot of people are self conscious about taking pills to help with ADHD, depression, or anxiety. I was talking to my mom about this the other day and she uses anti-depressants and i've been told that I need medication for an attention disorder and I got upset because I don't like know I need to take pills to be mentally more prepared during my days. However my mom said something that really helped. She said think of the pills as just a tool, something that you can use to enhance life, not something that you rely on to be the best you can, and that humans are just giant sacks of chemicals so its no shock that some people need a tool to screw in a loose bolt of concentration/anxiety. So idk this was random but it was a thought I had

Let go of what the society tells you. Why?
Society cannot satisfy you bc it is broken. Brokenness comes from many places like fitting in, identity, fear, love, appearance, and etc...
What is important now? The important thing now is your own identity. Take ownership of yourselves and love it.

I myself have suffered from bullying, name calling, not fitting in, identity, depression, and anxiety for most of my middle and high school years. Now I am turning 22 and am leading 3 ministries, speaking to young people, school, songwriting, singing live, and a student government officer.
Joey, I love that their are people like you in the world. Receive encouragement and cherish them Joey. You are a wonderful human being for speaking life in people.

I start my first year of university this year, and I'm scared as hell. And it's the exact reason you stated in this video, fitting in. We all hate ourselves for one reason or another but I truly believe that, like you said, who we are is who we are. Pretending to be someone else doesn't get us anywhere and being our true selves will only reward us with friends who love us for the real us. Love you Joey

You are perfect and don't let society bring you down. I may not know you but what I do know is that you are amazing and no body can change that. You are you and no one else. I know I'm basically repeating what's in this video but sometimes you need someone else to tell you your own advise so you will listen to it.

I love all three glasses.You inspire so many of your viewers to stay themselves and to be who they want to be. It doesn't matter which pair of glasses gets the most likes, it matters what you feel comfortable in and it shows who you truly are. Please take your own advice and be yourself, whoever that is, because that is who we (viewers) love best.

If you want true friends you have to be true to yourself. People will like you for who you are. If you pretend to be someone you aren't, the "friends" you make aren't your friends, but instead they are the friends of the person you're trying to be.
i was bullied when i was younger. and believe me. Im now at college and that part of my life is totally in the past. That shaped me as the person iam today, that made my self steem grow, maybe it was bad when it happened but now its just something that beliee it or not helped me. I dont really care anymore what people say about me. Is not my problem. and right now you may think that you are never going to fit in. and maybe you wont. But whats more importante you wont care about it. You may even laugh about it when you get older. And dont feel like people is judging you. maybe they are but for just one second, theyre not going to think in ten years "dude do you remember that guy/girl who did that bla bla bla". people have 99 problems and watching you do weird stuff, or wear inapropiate things is not one. just think; in 5 years will this really matter? that worked for me. now idgf. btw i love your videos :D

Very informative and supporting video and it's so great that you figured this out at such a young age, some other people spend 30 years of life being mainstream before they realize it's horrible and being themselves would get them much further
I really don't think I can explain enough how much your videos help me. You're such a positive inspiration in my life and you always make me feel really good about not exactly fitting in. I'm going to be honest I'm watching this crying because everyday I get called fat, ugly, weird, and spaz . everyday I try to be normal but I can never seem to fit in . I don't have one good friend I can be myself around. I'm everyone's second choice b if the one friend can't make it they choose me which hardly happens. Even as a senior in high school, I'm still trying to figure out who I am and where my place is with my friends and other class mates in how I present myself and how I dress, and I need to remember that what they think doesn't count. I love all your videos and how you put positive spins on even tough subjects, this one included. I think this one hit the nail on the head in saying that it doesn't matter what other people think, just that you have to be happy with who you are. (Also, I liked the third pair of glasses on you, I forget the name :))

I used to hate school, because I was always trying to fit in, and I got teased for it. Who doesn't. But now I love school because I quit trying to fit in. I just started being myself, and let me tell you. It works! I have a great group of friends that are amazing, and love me for me! Yea, I still get teased, but I don't care anymore, cause I have my amazing friends.

Ive had glasses since 1st grade and still wear them in elemtary school everyone picked on me and still do im currently in eigth grade and it sucks and i know everything will get better because everyone that is inspirational or nice towards me is the one that makes me feel happy the most

I have social anxiety, but school isn't as hard as people think it is. My dog and cat get me through it.
I have said it since I was 14 and I will say it again. I have been bullied and can relate. What I can’t relate to is the whole social order; why the hell do you guys care? You want friends? That is fine but don’t prioritize over it. Just go to school, do the work, get the boring shit out if the way and go home. Just go in, do with, and get the fuck out. I have been bullied and judged and laughed at but social order isn’t important and neither is popularity. If we don’t pass our classes which by the way will pretty much determine our future, I think I know what the hell is more important for n this situation.
