Idk about everyone else but ive had my traxxas velineon motor nearly completely submerged and have it work fine after, may not be the power you want but its a good option.
Hey Kev, if you wanna stick with the castle motors, just unscrew the end bells and put some automotive black silicon gasket maker in there and it seals up good, I do that to all my castle motors and it works fantastic.
@@logannewcome how much could he need in that my rustler vxl was 65 mph out of the box traxxas claimed on the front then with the 11.1 2 cell and higher spur gear it was even faster would pizza cutter the back tires so big they would rip apart
Hello Kev. Since you are looking for a motor, maybe look at the Hobbywing ezrun 3652 brushless motor, its 4000kv 2S-3S. Its a cheap motor and it MOVES. I have one in my ftx carnage and Im very impressed with it

yeah i dont know why any e motor conpanies for rc havent picked up on fast WATER PROOF motors . maybe they are . also i found some muzic that you use kev is it ok if i use it . im asking because some people are protective of it
Guys please could you tell me if I should I change the hex hub to mount my new beed locks I notes that when I remove the plastic wheel on my TRX 4 the hex hub has 6 spline things on it that slot in to the recesses in the plastic wheel. my beed lock wheels do not have recesses to seat the hex hub please could you advise me wether to order flat hex hubs or not and what size I’d need. I’m new to the hobby as you’ve guessed and your expertise would be valued thanks guys 🙂

Hobbywing is coming out with a 550 3300KV version of their Axe ESC/motor combo. Waterproof, more torque and faster.

Sourthern ill Sidebyside with that set up it would over heat constantly unless you're on pavement. More powerful motor won't have to work as hard

I use mambax sct edition (4600kv) in my crawlers , tons of wheelspeed,, definitely waterproof, of course with a dab of silicone on the sensor wire
I recommend the velineon brushless motor I have fully submerged it on my traxxas rally car and it still works like a charm
i want it sensored too dude

The OCD motor comes with the ESC it's brushless it's waterproof and I'm too s we got it to do 40 on my dad's 2 wheel drive slash
That cup and 2 slipper clutches are the only thing I've broken on my trx4 bronco and I've been bashing it hard sense last August, they're tough!

Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro BL 540 in 2200kv or the XL for massive torque in 2100kv for 6s. Waterproof with not a lot of openings. Runs 50,000rpm.
