I really enjoy those videos and your style of presenting them. The videos would benefit, however, if you would specifically name other thinkers more often. Here you did mention Locke several times, but some parts were neither Hobbes, nor Locke, but Rousseau. All three philosophers build on the contract philosophy before them, but not into philosophical ideas, that haven’t been published, yet.
Some direct quotes of the philosophers would be nice, too. E.g. what does Hobbes write about the state of nature? How did the church react to Leviathan?

Do you plan to also cover Rousseau? John Rawls would also fit, as he was a contract philosopher, too, even though he lived way later and has advised bill Clinton

I wonder if you think Leviathan is worth reading if I'm not at a PHD philosophy student? My reading list is long and I am a slow reader. I'm not fond of philosophy that uses arguments that require a Christian point of view and because of your series so far and I see your own frustration with it, so I might jump ahead to Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus. Can't thank you enough for at least highlighting Hobbes's ideas.

The first 2 parts are foundational to virtually all political theory that follows, so I’d personally recommend them (and I think they’re less than half the book). The later 2 parts focus on theocracy, contemporary politics, and (possibly) keeping Hobbes from getting burned at the stake for heresy, so I’d say you can pass on those.
