There's a man currently suing Amazon for $180,000,000.00 for Civil Rights Violations for harassment and failure to promote.. a Federal Judge recently denied amazon motion to dismiss the lawsuit
@@robertoduran6087 that is for the people who work for Amazon to figure out, what do you think they should make, should they make more than what they are currently making?
@colberthunter12 I don't know how much they make, that's why I asked since you made it seemed like you know they're not making a fair wage. Anything above $17 hr where all you need a high school diploma to work sounds good for a starting job depending wholesomeness lives. So what's a fair wage for you?
I've a friend who worked for Amazon after college, he told me the second he enters Amazon, it's constant emails and communication with clients, the whole 8 hours, gets almost no break, he left after 6 months as the work is too much, that's too much for him in front of computer, now what about someone stacking the shelves or packaging or delivering? for Amazon they could easily replace the worker as there are endless unemployed people in India.
endless unemployed people, but majority of them are low quality, lazy, not punctual, difficult to work with. I have a lot of bad experience with such employees. you have to pay really well to hire good quality ones, and other low paid ones are hard to find. the whole notion that India has a lot of unemployed people is true, but majority of them are not employable. so, it makes no different to western countries.
0:37 the biggest irony is Black Friday itself and the fact that it’s immediately next day to thanksgiving. Thanksgiving, a Native American cultural thing to practice gratitude, contentment and be thankful for everything given to us. And the capitalists made that commercial too. Now that Amazon has decided to compete with Temu, the pay is going to go down further. People in the comments section, every time you buy and return something, please keep in mind that, everyone who is obsessed with shopping especially for fun has contributed to this trend.
My friends worked in amazon and they were absolutely exhausted by the end of the day and were not treated well by their managers and peers. In the UK the condition is worse!! Their products costs arms and legs, adding delivery charges too.
When the wages are raised, more layoffs. That's how the automakers went bankrupt and workers were laid off. I canceled Amazon and saved so much. I will support local Target, Walmart, Walgreens... They hire local workers.
Amazon has such big margins that they undercut competitors, over charge sellers and buyers, and monopolizes amazon basics products. I think it has enough room for better working conditions and environmental standards. If nothing else, this will atleast give the smaller players s fighting chance.
If you dissect Amazon's architecture of subsidiaries, mainly the Logistics side, you will understand why unions cannot form and why they go nowhere. Being a direct Amazon employee however is a different story. Amazon's Logistics is its own subsidiary LLC. And this LLC has thousands and thousands of private subsidiary logistic company contracts that employ anywhere from 30 to 100 delivery drivers. This is why unions cannot break through the legal firewall. They have built it this way since it's conception. Essentially, it's the same loop hole for LLC's to be separated from any liability to the actual owner, except they have capitalized on this legal paradigm, lol and literally used it as their business cornerstone. Believe it or not FedEx is beginning to adopt this same business architecture.
Finally people are no longer willing to keep quiet while things are getting worse. Employees should be respected they’re the foundation of the company without them Amazon would wither. Humanity 🥇
The endless supply of workers in india who replace the ones hear like the person below mentions dont pay taxes here. Thats why we have our little national debt.
