Hi from NZ, The melon is a Winter Melon. You need to remove the pith and seeds. Make a pork bone soup stock as a base. When ready add the diced bite size melon, dice shiitake, dried shrimps and goji berries. You can have that as is as a starter or with won tons. I’m a Chinese New Zealander 😊. Love all your knits ❤
I supposed the soup turned out delicious, even without knowing what was this strange vegetable. I would have guessed a giant zucchini, but who knows. I love your socks made with leftover yarn, it is quite inspiring.
that is one project you should not worry about imperfection....it's a rectangle, you don't have to worry about the fit... and the scrappier the better. Just put all the yarn that you'd like to use on a pile, see if you like how the colors go together, and go for it. I'm cheering you on ❤️
I’m intrigued on what your veggie/fruit thing is! Your mosaic socks are so beautiful, Ivana! I was thinking “crazy woman single crocheting a huge blanket then I looked down at the one I’m making, oh right, single crochet tapestry blanket! What was I thinking? 😆🌻🎄
What is the product you use for cleaning the fire box glass? As the ash on a damp cloth doesn't work all that well. We bought a special fire glass cleaner but its really expensive.
@ Interesting, it‘s worked perfectly for me for the last 18 years, very little effort to get a clear and shiny result. I wonder if what you burn makes a difference? We burn common European woods like beech mostly.
I love the brown mosaic socks! I love that you have so many WIPS going..... now I don't feel so bad.☺
:) you should never feel bad ❤️

Love those mosaic socks!…actually love all the socks 😂❤…and the blanket😮😊
Everything is nice and the blanket is so cool..love the colours.
Love your watercolour socks. ❤ It’s so interesting that your gauge is looser on the small circulars. Mine is tighter that way than with magic loop.
I think it's because I have more grip with larger needles ❤️❤️❤️
Hi! The vegetable is called bottle gourd... I guess. Kisses to Jake! He is glowing.
I love all your sharing. I keep wanting to crochet a blanket inspired by you. I keep letting fear of imperfection make me freeze in my tracks!

Just something I saw. Try getting some fire ash and cleaning the fire window with that.
This definitely works on our woodburner
I came here to suggest that - dip a damp cloth/paper in the ash and rub the glass, works perfectly! No toxic products.

I love all your WIPS and this podcast. Thank you Ivana ❤ I was wondering where you get those cones of mohair from? They are beautiful!
Hello, Ivana just wondering what brand is the self striping yarn you are using for the watercolor socks? You inspire me in so many ways! ❤❤❤
Isn’t it a Marrow (UK)?
