The soundtrack for this movie was beautiful. If I Never Knew You is a great love song.

Disney's 33rd full length animated feature of course. I have the 1996 VHS and 2005 DVD. I hope to get the 2000 DVD soon.

I only have the 1996 VHS of Pocahontas with the WDMC logo from 1994 ink label some day I could get the sticker label copy with the WDMC logo and the other one with the normal 1989 Walt Disney Classics logo the ink label that's an earlier print, the best earlier print date to get the copy with the classics logo is either 12/14/95 or 12/13/95 that way you'll have that copy.

I know most of your disney vhs collection videos the comments are disabled but here is a tip on how to find version 1 of your pocahontas vhs. If it's printed Dec 13-14 1995 chances are it will use the classics logo. Here is how i found out about version 1. On June 10th 2014 ALMOST 10 YEARS AGO my grandma Mary Carol had 2 copies of the masterpiece vhs upstairs at their old farmhouse and i took one of them downstairs to watch it and after the previews that copy turned out to have the classics logo and trust me. I immediately had to take it home when dad got me after work. Then 2 days later me and my dad went up to his mom's apartment and when we came home that sunday the 15th, i forgot to bring it back home and it was sitting in her tote of the tapes that were there and by late 2014-early 2015, she got rid of the tote and put them all on the wicker shelf she had in the spare room right next to the door, but my 2 cousins devon and Braxton my aunt gaynell's 2 children kicked them off the shelf and then kicked them all under the bed that was sitting in that corner ever since she moved to apt 101 in 2009. But she got rid of the dresser and shelf in that room by late aug-early sep 2017 and she decided to move the bed up where the dresser stood and yes she found all those 20-25 tapes under that bed including that rare copy of Pocahontas i found jun 2014. By Dec 2-3 2017 we spent the night and she had the tapes in a red christmas box and the rare tape was at the top of the box and in july 2017 i met tyler black if you remember him still and i found out about printdates and week and year codes and i looked at the printdate and it was 12/14/1995 at 9:58 am. The other copy probably was printed Dec 1995 later or January 1996 sometime. But my childhood copy which was my sister becca's was printed Dec 19 1995 and is version 2 former rental from video station on the side. Pretty long story to tell you huh?

I think Pocahontas is the weakest film of the Disney Renaissance; which makes me wonder why you have Mulan ranked as your least favorite, but I’ll save that discussion for when you get that movie on Blu-ray someday; I do still enjoy this film.
Yes, it’s historically inaccurate and the tone whiplashes a lot, but it makes up with a lot of powerful moments, beautiful animation, and fantastic songs. And yes, it’s kinda insane that people who were working on this movie thought this movie was going to be not only their next major hit but also thought it would receive another Best Picture nomination. Yup, they thought this was gonna be their next Beauty and the Beast, while The Lion King; god I cannot believe my favorite Disney movie is going to be 30 next month; thought was going to be the appetizer before the main course, and well the opposite occurred. But still, it’s not a bad movie for what it is, besides I’ve seen worse films from the studio.
Also, hot take, but You’ve Got a Friend in Me should have won Best Original Song instead.
