Wonderful product review video, Jenny honey! Super pawesome & fabulous info! TYSVM! Very well done! Miss PSB really prefers to scratch horizontally most of the time. She rarely uses the vertical scratcher we have which is part of her mini-cat tower topped off with a round bed (which she uses frequently as part of her snoozy-winkling routine)! :)
I have horizontal and vertical scratchers and kitty perches for my 2 Ragdoll fur babies, Bella & Valentino. For their 1st Birthday last month, I purchased a horizontal scratcher from Pet Fusion. The version I purchased is slightly different by looking like it is “pinched in the middle”. By far, and so far, I would say it is Bella & Valentino’s favorite. They lounge on it; they stretch out on it; and of course scratch on it.
I’m kinda liking the JUMBO Pet Fusion version since it has ample room for kitties on both levels. Hhmmm I might have to consider purchasing the JUMBO version for Bella & Valentino’s Christmas. Many thanks for the review! Great job.
@@pamelapercle3724 all the Petfusion scratchers are great!! You can't really go wrong with those. And yes, sounds like you have the infinity shaped one.
Wow! You have some big REALLY furry cats! I liked watching them use the cat scratchers and lounging on them. I got a laugh out of the first one (the round scratcher) when your cat was lying on it. The cat was such a big furball he/she was overflowing it! I think they should make a larger size for big furry adult cats like yours. And it's not only your cats who think every package their owner gets is a toy for them. I've seen cats in videos on other UA-cam channels immediately investigate every new item their owner brings into their home. If it's a new cat tree the cats start playing on it shortly after the owner takes it out of the box - they don't even wait for it to be fully assembled! In one case the cat went in the box the cat tree came in before the owner even took it out of the box! So cats think everything in their home is either a toy for them or a bed.
Thank you - one of my cats just died, unfortunately. Nechoichi does make a bigger scratcher now - but it's up to the cat, really - the size of the scratcher doesn't matter, if the cat likes it, then that's all that matters. I have found that it's the human that sees it as a problem =).
@Floppycats I am very sorry to learn your cat died. It is very hard to lose a pet you have had for so long. But you are right that the size of cat scratchers (or other items) does not matter to cats. I have seen cats in videos on other UA-cam channels trying to squeeze themselves into boxes or other items that were a bit too small.
Same here! Actually this is my very first time ever. This video helped me more than any I have seen so far. My kitten is a Manx and he likes scratching all over the carpet so I’m guessing he is horizontal lol. I didn’t even realize until recently that there was such a thing as vertical or horizontal scratchers.
Hmmm....do you have any scratchers at the moment? Maybe they are scratching the leather because that's their only option. Are the scratching up on the arm or scratching on the cushions? Once you have a new scratcher, you'll need to remove the scent that they have created on the couch - www.floppycats.com/cat-wont-stop-scratching-couch-how-to-put-an-end-to-it.html
My Maine coon cats like the F&P Products 2in1 it has inclined and horizontal scratching at the same time easy replacement card board or carpet scratchers on Amazon
My cats all seemt o like the ball scratch scratcher at a toy, and will scratch the replacement discs if they are just on the floor, but not when theya re in the actual toy. I have quite a few scratchers. My last cat woud only scratch on a carpet scraching post/tower my newest cats like rope and cardboard. My local shelter also has directions on how to make your own cardboard scratchers with cardboard boxes. I have grand plans of trying to make one, but I haven't yet.
thank you for sharing - how interesting about the turbo track - and not using the scratcher in the middle - my two use the scratcher in the middle when it is attached to the toy, so i have never removed it. isn't it fascinating how different cats like different surfaces to scratch on? not only that, but some prefer scratching vertically rather than horizontally.

Excellent presentation! Tons of information. I learned a lot. You have beautiful cats! Please keep up the good work. Thanks for posting.
glad it was helpful to you!
You have 2 BEAUTIFUL CATS !
Thank you ☺️. I do! Inside and out. They’re wonderful. I’m very fortunate
Those are nice scratchers! My cats like to scratch in all directions but mostly vertically. Their favorite type are the sisal-covered ones. 😊

what does she scratch on vertically?

Like the one in the background of the one Charlie got on.

The PetFusion scratchers are great, thanks to your past reviews we have the infinity and jumbo, my cat just loves them 😻
you really are making your way through some older videos =). thanks for commenting and for catching up!
@@Floppycats haha yes, I realised I haven’t watched for a while 🙈 and your videos are always great

If your cat likes to scratch leather what type of material would best suit them for a pad?

thanks for sharing, frank! i did a quick search and couldn't find anything?!
@@frankj6090 weird, couldn't find anything under that name.
very good video!很棒👍🏻
Of the vertical post scratchers, do cats prefer a round or square post?
I would think round. Square are easier to do, so they are more prevalent.

My Ragdoll does not like these cardboard scratchers and will not use them. I have tried several!!
@@marthamadsen9850 that’s ok. Every cat is different. Maybe try some included here that aren’t cardboard 🤷♀️
so which one cats like best?
don't know - depends on their mood - sometimes they want to scratch vertically, sometimes horizontally, etc.
@@Floppycats tks
@@catdogchat9570 you’re welcome. Sorry the answer isn’t more black and white. And it’s best to have a variety, so your cat has a lot of options.
