Metagross is definitely S tier in just the walking animation category, though.

its basic attack animations are top tier
cannot be beaten
I think Full Heal is kind of a must for it. It’s Unite move will never work in a team fight without popping Full Heal as you use it

Even then it still might fail because full heal got nerfed to last 1.5 seconds and after Metagross scans and flies all the way to an enemy that 1.5s could easily run out.
I think it'll be hard to adjust to balanced releases, but at least we don't have to worry about stuff like Mewtwo Y again (for now).
I feel like its damage is decent, but lacks in the defensive side
So then build a defensive item or 2

I think a buff to the unite, some sustain, and cooldown buffs for its moves are all warranted
Drain crown is a must. It's the only sustain when you finally stop getting cancelled out of every move lmao. Good thing I used the time trial first. I'll wait till it's properly 'evened' out.
I feel like metagross is very underwhelming(it needs buffs asap)

I used metagross with a basic attack build of muscle rapid and weakness policy. Was the best damage stat I got in all of my 6 or 7 games I did with it
Fun fact! The unite counts greninja (probably also meow) clones when deciding whether to do the wall, so you can activate the wall without 3+ enemies if that happens
Will the unite also jump to a clone if it’s the lowest hp?

3:27, there was a bug where you used a boosted attack but meteor mash didn’t activate until the next basic
I think magnet rise is the better move but overall metagross is pretty good but yes I do agree his unite move is horrible like I have had my unit move canceled multiple times but overall he is a very fun Pokémon to play
Magnet rise is pretty good but they really need to buff its duration or lower its cooldown its too low duration for such long cooldown, like magnet rise is pretty ignorable
@@rockpirt1760 well yes I do agree but I also think they should maybe increase the move duration because of its long cooldown in my opinion
i love the moveset, i feel like it has potential to be one of the best flex picks in the game. but it does need some QOL tuning.
Do you think scope lens is good on it? It has a 20% crit rate. I've been doing really well with weakness scope and razor, with Zen head butt, meteormash and a potion.
What's working really well is:
Scarf, claw, muscle
It's an assassin build so you have to play more like a speedster.
Level 13 with the levitation upgrade reduces the damage taken while up in the air.
Muscle, scarf, weakening seems working as well.
Always combine Meteor with the levitation. Seems to be the most flexible combination.
I have so much fun playing metagross. Most fun since dodrio in my opinion. Unite move is very weird though. Does get canceled at weird times and once I used it and it instantly refilled. I got 2-3 kos after using it and I know there’s a feature where it recharges after knocking a Pokémon out but I don’t think it’s supposed to apply to more than one KO.
Whenever i play the ‘Gross i found success in treating him like a pseudo tank. If you give him a bulky set up and play him like an “off” tank, he can have a big influence on fights even if he doesn’t get KOs

If they fix Metagross unite move, talking about it getting cancelled by stuns, hope the same happens to Duraludon's unite move.
I think there's a reason why Duraludon's Unite move is easy to cancel, it's one of the best in the game. You could also run full heal if it keeps getting canceled.
@@Belesprit656 Doesn't justify losing the whole charge and achieve nothing. If it can be cancelled, at least it should work like Charizard and keep 90% charge.

Not suprise your going pink Emblem. I'm doing the same but chose red emblem. I got charm, muscle band, and attack weight. I might remove attack weight because it is hard to stack.

Given how little impact Metagross’s unite is I feel it should at least be in the 112 second range. His and Sylveon Ult need that love. I feel if you don’t have experience with rock tomb Crustle you might have trouble with the wall Metagross Ult builds. This Mon definitely needs some buffs

I came for the "I surprise"
It feels great as is, it's not overpowered or underpowered at all.
Natural bulk is good, great chaser if you choose the right moves in a match, can surprisingly KO *a lot* in the right situations of a Team Fight.
Feels on par with Blaziken (after it's buffs) to me. 💙
It is NOT BAD! it is just not a broken as other characters . But I do agree it needs unstoppable for its unite. Otherwise it is great , I also don't think it needs more damge as to really do well with it you need to brawl with 2-3 enemies at the same time
Would honestly like to see a level reduction or 2 on his evo. I get he's a pseudo but he evolves sooner then every pseudo anyways. Letting him evo at 8 or 7 would be nice
I feel like gyro ball could use a buff to put it on level with meteor mash. Zen headbutt and magnet rise both feel good.
Its say that gyro ball is worse than meteor smash , but not because of stats but because of the range that gyro ball has , the hit zone that your have to hit feels pretty bad specially since when you are in range of basically attacks it feels like its just out of range or the enemy is to close to you

Ngl, MetaGross is fun and pretty strong. But indeed he do need buffs for his Ultimate, my 3rd item for me since I don't have Resistance guard is attack weight.

So was it Kidney stones? Or just an infection. I have had both. But one is WAY worse than the other.
I really don't mind a Mon releasing a bit underpowered. I would much rather that and it get small buffs later than the zacians, mewtwos, mimikus, etc that we dealt with in the past
Hope they buff metagross without giving him the mimikyu treatment, idk how they should fix zen headbutt but make his unite unstoppable and lower meteor mashes cooldown a tad and he’d be pretty solid imo

It’s kind of funny that they gave it an ability that reduces CC length on it because they knew it would need it, and that still isn’t enough to stop it from getting absolutely bullied in the middle of a fight. They either need to buff full heal, Metagross’ ability, or nerf all of the damn CC

I absolutely adore metagross but he definitely needs some help. Idc tho im still making him my all rounder main once i buy him.

And also i think people should stop complaining about how they designed metagross, if you want it different go make your own Pokemon MOBA
Edit: one thing ive noticed is how teamfight-oriented the design is. Hinderance resistance per enemy nearby, bigger shields per target hit and an ult that gets powered up when 3 or more enemies are present. I'm definetly looking to mess with pink/gray on this mon, so many shields and it's quite bulky
i personally think its fine, fun to play sometimes, but its just not my gameplay style
I found the the perfect held items for metagross and last game I got 12 KOs and 85000 damage
I know this is random to say but azumarill is getting slept on tbh
The folks at unite DB say his attack scaling is horrible and they don’t recommend stacking. But I dunno.

I think aside from some minor tweaks, Metagross is honestly fine. The main problem is people treating him as a defender and just running recklessly into fights, thinking they can tank more than they actually can.

i’m surprised i havent seen anyone running rapid fire scarf. your boosted basics reset cooldowns so i feel like that item might help with the long cooldowns. also glad you’re back!!!! yeehaw!!

Metagross mostly feels fine, the Unite move just feels a little underwhelming. Interestingly, so does Meowscarada's Unite move I feel like it's to compensate for their strong abilities.

Hes perfect!!!, also your 100% on Zen Headbutt, its trash. I only run with Rise/Meteor Mash.
Metagross would be balanced if it had lower cooldowns, higher defences and/or bigger shields, and unstoppable for the first 1.5 seconds on its unite move.
Everytime he says "kidney infection" I hear the Eminem line "I have a kidney in-f***-tion and I c*** finger it out"

In all honesty... Metagross is decent but if I had to buff it... Make it immune to hindrances when using Magnet Rise and After Locking on to an opponent using Zen Headbutt.
the most anticipated if not wanted and lots of potential in its movepool just got wasted by its just okay debut and horrible movesets 😭
It is actually good, I was surprised too. Have you tried Rapid Fire Scarf instead of Razor Claw to speed up cooldowns and damage between cd?
I don't feel like it has enough presence on the field like the rest of the pseudo-legendaries and it is sooo boring to play, but that was expected, it is also boring to use in the main games

gyro ball is real bad man feel no dmg neither shield that much with multiple hits while this mon needs to get close not far from enemies

@@MinhHO.168 Gyro ball will be the play because you can weave in and out of combat better and get more consistent shielding. Meteor mash gives a burst of damage, but you cant do anything after that.
Stack an attack weight and learn to weave in and out of combat. The shield from gyro ball turns in to healing if it expires without being used.

I think the worse thing its the cooldowns , sustain and the unita move is pretty meh and inconsistent
The cooldowns are kinda long specially on meteor smash , and the cooldown reducion on moves isn't that good in witch it does hurt the self sustain of the jpokemon , like Imagine mimiku with a longerr cooldown on shadow claw
His self sustain is pretty bad when comparing him to other brawlers like characters like Blaziken and Mimiku
So is he worth it or should I use my money on a different license?

The thing about metagross is not about how good it is or bad it is it's just too funky in my opinion usually when I use pokemon idc if they are strong or weak but the y should have some move or something about them that makes me have fun while using it which metagross doesn't give basic attacks are very disturbing for me and the moves itself isn't appeling to me. Thank god I used the trial instead of buying it

Also, would like if it's Ult was a little smarter with choosing targets. Like it chooses actual Pokemon and not doubles.
Idk I honestly feel disappointed with his release. Hes one of my favorites and his play style just doesn’t feel too good, hopefully some buffs happening soon

I Find Metagross kind of underwhelming in the power/damage department. Even fighting it I don't get upset because it seemsa to die fairly quickly as well. He's not bad, he's really to play. But he's just kinda...meh right now to me
It’s not broken and it’s not bad. That’s the problem with the unite community, if something isn’t broken they think it sucks.

Metagross is almost ok once you have meteor mash and magnet rise, but thats the thing both beldum and metang are awful, but unlike other pokemon that have a weak start so that they demolish the enemy in the late game, Metagross becomes mediocre at best. Also his unite move is awful in every way.
Metang at 5 with meteor mash is actually much stronger than a lot of other mons at that level. But getting from 6-7 and 7-9 are a bit tedius
Meteor mash looks like a worse close combat form Lucario or Machamp ( don’t argue with me I haven’t played this game in like 2 years so I basically don’t know anything was even surprised when I saw a Mimikyu and a Mewtwo, MEGA
Meteor mash gives you a shield, close combat doesn’t, they’re pretty different

Meteor mash is the only good thing about metagross... They need to drop that cool down by 1.5-2 seconds... The same with magnet rise... Zen headbutt needs a stun buff with a one second cool down reduction... Gyro ball I think is that last move.....that just needs to be scrapped 😂....

I was expecting a very bad Pokémon but it’s actually ok.
It has pretty good stats, shields.
I also use razor claw, resonant guard and weakness policy.
With all the opponents attacking you it’s the best built!
Its unite move it something more than disappointing… not effective, not powerful and it gets cancelled all the time in weird moments when you don’t know if you used it or not…

Whenever people say buff a mon i get every mental disorder to man. After every pokemon the playerbase wanted "buff" and either nothing happens or they become the most diabolical pokemon, im just got hold my tounge and see what's gonna happen.
He's not full blown broken and point and click that everyone is used to so of course its underwhelming
it sucks that we’ve been through some real bad metas before because if not for the EX legendaries, i think people would feel a lot better about pretty solid releases like this one. :)
