I have an old pendulum clock that's been hanging on the wall for probably 25 years. It works and then it stops. Your video has made me want to try some adjustments on it. I agree with you how satisfying a pendulum clock sound is. Thanks.
I have a grandfather clock it keeps losing time 2 to 3 minutes I turn the adjustment screw on the bottom and it seems like it don't even move or work what else can I do please help thank you
If it is losing time the square nut at the bottom needs to be turned clockwise as viewed from the under sde. this will shorten the pendulum which will allow it tick faster. If turning the nut does nothing then the screw thread is possibly stripped.
I recently acquired a 1776 James Cunningham Scottish long case clock which my father acquired in Edihburgh in 1974 - your video is excellent
