The TL series are amazing machines. I have the TL2200QVP Mini - basically this 2010 model with a bunch of accessories and feet included. Have sewn everything from chiffon scarves to heavy duty zips in motorcycle jackets. Can sew 12 layers of heavy denim with ease. It free motion quilts like a dream - no messing around with finicky tension issues. I'm so glad I bought my machine!
Thanks for sharing this experiment . And really likes the last option when finishing the sewing, the needle come up automatically and releasing as well the thread, really interesting this movement.

@lindagonzales9044 light leathers it can sew (w. Teflon foot and lighter foot pressure). Would probably cap it off at using a T60 nylon thread for longevity but it can sew with a thicker one if needed with some adjustments. You don't have many selections on feed dogs and plates as it only has a standard plate (for needle 9-16) and heavy (14-18).
