I'm 50 and I have been an Aquabat Nerd for ever! I absolutely love this record and so do my kids. It's is quirky, funny and it just calls to me. So may great elements to having a great time. I sing these loud and proud with my fist pumping into the air!
I love this documentary. The Aquabats! have always had a very awkward energy to them, it’s part of their charm. It’s interesting to see that same awkwardness translate to the band when out of character talking about the album. I love how many times Christian says total bs while keeping a straight face. I love how they make jokes and say weird things and never stop to acknowledge how strange they are. Sometimes it feels like they made this at gunpoint. I love it.
