You should try checking the other ICs to see if there is another VRM controller, it is quite common to find 2 or more controllers on modern vrms, normally 1 higher phase for Vcore and 1 lower phase for other less power drawing rails
Its likely doubled phases for the vcore, so the controller is running in 4+2 while the vcore phases are a single signal going through two pairs of mosfets and two inductors since no doubler ICs were found.
Did you think this mother board would work for a 3060 card? With a i7 12th or should I look other options I just want to build something portable, thanks for the complete review!
@@Miyconst well I already got a setup with a 4070 but I was thinking to make a cheap build because the 3060 card got it for free so I dont want to spend a lot on this secondary build, I wanna make a mini build that can be portable i was looking the maxsun challenger B760ITX it looks better than this one but is double the price, sorry for my english is not my first lenguage hehe thanks for the response keep it up with your content is great!
I'm pretty sure it's 7+2+1 or 8+1+1 phase. RT3628AE IS 8+2 phase controller, not 8 phase controller. 8 for core, 2 for iGPU. And LGA 1700 needs AUX rail, which i suspect bottomost mosfet pair of left side is- it is close to chip that looks to be small buck controller, and there is no other good place. I'm not sure single loop of cinebench can be used to check vrm-heating up vrm heatsink does take time.

@@henryteng-ti7gn I honestly don't remember if I had to update the BIOS or 13th gen was supported out of the box. In any case, if they say that no BIOS update is required - you can use that as an argument with AliExpress if the motherboard doesn't work with the 13th gen and you need to return it.
I know that some old BIOS of b660 allow overclocking CPU 12th or lower. B760m is locked. Can someone confirm the reality? ? I plan to buy a set of B660 and 12400f
For CPU overclocking on B660 chipset you need an external CPU frequency clock generator which is present on very few special motherboards from ASRock and MSI, non of the Chinese boards have this feature.
The AsRock B660M Phantom Gaming is an mATX motherboard, while Huananzhi B660M-ITX is an mITX motherboard, so these two shall not be compared, but I always recommend checking the local offers before going to AliExpress.

It should be fine but if you buy an i7 and an RTX 3060 why not buy a branded motherboard?

It really depends on what you need. If MSI has enough connectivity for you - go with MSI.

It is not guaranteed but you can ask the seller to update BIOS for you.

I didn't even bother to check undervolting, it's so useless with 12/13 gen Intel CPUs, but since you asked - I will try to check it for you.
