Nice video. Unfortunately I haven’t built a kit in years, but every now and then I think about starting again :) just a curiosity, are Perfect Grades not a thing anymore? I haven’t noticed any in this clip
I'm one of those in the camp of "already have a cool looking NG 1/100 Barbatos don't think need a MG version". Yeah, the MG will probably happen in time to come but is of a low low low priority now. Great list by the way!
I was honestly in this camp too until I got the mg as a gift and I will say, it's really in a different league. Made the NG really feel like an off-brand product
This list was great! Barbatos at Number 1 was definitely on point! But I actually would have liked to see the Re/100 Zaku Kai. I think that kit was just really good and it really revolutionized the RE/100 line by featuring no polycaps. Definitely a real solid kit that other kits in the line don't compare with in terms of stability. Not to mention great color and parts separation too!
The FZ was a very solid kit, but on the other hand it took a step backwards in having a couple seam lines where past RE kits did a great job of hiding all the seams

@@daisukeniwa402645 It was so much fun. The plastic of the runners is the same type as the MG Jegan where it's extra soft. The main suit is wonderful. To be fair the MG S/Ex S 1.5 is a pretty neat package as you get 2 kits for less than the original price of the old MG S Gundam and MG ExS combined. Not the best priced kit of course but for Sentinel fans who haven’t got a ExS this is a decent deal.
You have to build one or the other, much like the 1/100 Gusion and Gusion Rebake set. For those that prefer the S over the Ex-S like me, they'll be left with a pile of plastic that they won't ever use, so IMO the price tag is too much even though the parts are way better. That being said, I do have to admit that it's a blessing for Ex-S fans as they get a much better kit with more modern details, just wish we could have two separate kits instead.

My problem for the next year will be the desert zaku, it shouldn't have been p Bandai as well as the Zaku cannon (if any help I'm pretty into zakus, so even if for some people it's okay to not get more Zeke variants as P-B, I'm bothered for getting pretty much just the color variants as regular releases)

@@ZakuAurelius Or through ebay sellers...at a higher price I reckon lol Thank you for the info! I only started getting into gunpla several months ago so I'm still figuring a few things out!
Since I started this hobby about a year ago, I've come back to your channel over and over. Good content and informative. I actually have to disagree and say the build divers new zeon looks pretty cool, just needs a different paint job.
I really like the design of the Nu-Zeon Gundam but the only reason I haven't gotten it yet is because they gave the kit tiny hands so it can hold that giant sword. the sword was designed to be compatible with standard size HG kits. Nu Gundam is big so anything made specifically for it would be too big for other kits to hold so they gave Nu-Zeon Gundam small hands. the worst part is that they removed the old hands from the frame runner. so Nu-Zeon is forever stuck with tiny hands unless you get the Build Knuckle replacements.
Have had the MG Barbatos for almost a month already... can't wait to build it... it's just not in my build queue yet... i have an app that randomizes the build queue, so who knows when i'll get to build it... can't wait though...
I like your list, but you missed the beautiful HGCE Destiny Gundam. For that price, it's got everything! Beautiful kit. Also, will you be doing a review of FAZZ Version Katoki when it comes out?
Other than snubbing the Destiny, I totally agree with the list. You may have softballed the Gustav's flaws though. Some of the engineering on that one is really good, but the bad parts are really bad.
I have the Dynames, the Barbatos and the RG Nu and I still haven't built any one them yet. Too much in my backlog. I'm going to try really hard to not buy anymore kits this year so I can catch up.

For me the stinker of 2019 was HGUC R-Jarja. A lot of flimsy fit, arms popping out, bad gun fit. I could not make the rotating shoulder shield gimmick work. Not really complaining about this one because i don't like gimmicks like that anyway. I bought HGUC ECOAS Jegan last year which is a variation of HGUC Jegan from ten years ago. Everything fits so perfectly and tightly, almost as if it was designed in 2019 and R-Jarja - in 2009.
MG Barbatos is a kit that is really going to speak to people who build a lot of Gunpla and want something different. Even as the third 1/100 Barbatos in the last 4 years, it just feels totally unlike anything we've had before. It also makes me like that design, which I absolutely did not in previous versions. It isn't necessarily more solid or packed with more gimmicks than Dynames or Alex or the F90, it's just different and fun to build and feels very mechanical and intricate in a way that is satisfying to detail.
GotNextVideo personally feel like the f90 is a lot more fun tbh, I'm building the mg barbatos ATM, and honestly it's a 2.0 kit with a less neat fun inner frame gimmick, and it's the near closest thing to the 2.0 era of kits which is probably one of the main appeals for it.
@@dol_mel7487 I like the F90 better just as a design. It's one of my all time favorites, I am seriously considering a second one, but it's very "classic". Just a clean, straightforward, Gundam-ass Gundam. Barbatos is weird and different, so that's pretty refreshing. The frame almost feels like a mini PG. I also have to say, for more intermediate/advanced builders Barbatos offers a lot of really good detailing opportunities. That inner frame is like painting an engine in a car model. It's really pretty cool. I never cared for the Barbatos just in general so the fact that the new kit has sold me so well says something.

@@ZakuAurelius you gonna do a review of that one?
Yes it’s in the queue
@@ZakuAurelius awesome!
I think the alex and barbatos should deserve the no.1 mg as both are perfect on their own specs..
Still salty about my Alex wrists. Broke both them off before I saw reviews talking about sanding them down
How bout they build again serpent custom hg full weapon, i just wanna see it as my collection :)
you didn't mention the G40 and HGCE Destiny
how about the new HG DESTINY GUNDAM?
the nu zeon was such a disappointment. I actually like the design because i was just in the mood for something gaudy and stupid, but the actual construction of it was so....oof
Geoff G the fact that they tried to make the kit like a super hero was probably the reason why it looks so drab. Honestly, the moon Gundam is a better representation of the Nu and Sazabi than what we got
i hope you will review Frame Arms Girl Greifen (i can see it in the background)
Suprised you didn't mention the HI-Res God gundam
I wanna see some Code Geass MGs. I know they aren't technically "Gunpla" but I'd love to own a couple of them from the show.
CoDy McCollum woild love some evangelion ones
Yes I NEED a gurren Mark 2. I might pick up the HG version from years ago but an MG would be much better.
I do have an Escaflowne moderoid kit on the way which makes me pretty happy as far as older mecha goes. I also saw a preorder for a new gurren lagann kit but i have no idea about the company making it. Plaiobot or something
Another year, another more P-Bandai that I can't afford.
I FUCKING CALLED IT WITH EARTHREE
Yes barbatos I want to have one
has anyone tryed using fiskars scissors or products like them for cutting the parts off the runners, they seem alot better too me but i just wanted other opinions
I'm more with iron blooded orphan series
PB Hirm wing gundam has the best look
i need that mg barbatos and mg dynames!
