I am ordering a Kelly Kettle (I was totally unaware of its existence) as a gift right now! Thank you so much for sharing all these fun things - and testing them!
Kelly and the professors had a lovely lunch! 😊 Chief Tuckabuckaway was astounded that you were on your knees! Well, without knee pads... Great go of it, very good video! 👍
We had beautiful warm weather today but the wind did come up around 3:00 pm. Colorado Springs…….I was trying to wash windows with my towels blowing all around with me running to catch them. 😩 We have a Kelly Kettle also but have never used it. Maybe this spring, once we start camping again would be a good time to try it out. Yours worked great! I think, all food always tastes better cooked in the outdoors. My husband and I want to explore Utah more in the Escalante area this summer. We did Bryce last spring for the second time. Gorgeous! Love the hiking there when you get away from the crowds. As you must know. I love to see where you travel.
You folks are real troopers! Don’t we love those March winds?💨💨💨We have them here in SW Idaho today……along w/ some snow!❄️❄️ My son and family are traveling into Utah today……so Utah ‘s weather had better treat then nice and welcoming!😊
I hope you had good weather. Up in northern Utah the winds brought in thousands of tumbleweeds and blew them against homes up to 15 feet! I hope you family did not run into that!
Well, you surprised me. I love your videos and use several of your recipes. I rarely offer a thumbs down and I'm sorry that your Kelly Kettle episode got one. You are always well studied and safe. Can I offer you a bit of advice, in case you didn't already figure it out, watch the UA-cam videos on its use. You made a few unsafe moves that worried me. Looking down the top is not advisable. Potholder use ...ummm, not a good idea especially in the wind. When set right you don't need one. The Kelly Kettle is designed to use the wind to your advantage. Yes even swirling winds. It has alot more to offer and is a great tool. Pan fried toast made with Ghee! A minute or too on top would have cooked your soup to perfection. You need all the accessories! Ok folks, just be safe next time and practice a bit more. No more worrying me please.
It is all about adapting-yes? We had other plans today, but our 2 day old little calf escaped for the second time. He got out yesterday and we were still searching at 10:00 p.m. We also had a bitter wind and didn't think he would last the night if we couldn't find him. First we called the County Police and let them know he was lost and to please call if he was sighted. We finially found him and caught the little guy. Notified the County and the Deputy had come over to the area. That was just so kind. Mamma cow was grateful as well as we were. So today we changed and fixed the fencing until after dark. LOL, I was just starting to watch your video about your plans changing and the Kelly pot and our power went out 😮. Baby Blue to the rescue! I was even able to report my own outage! Its was a good trial run as we don't have cell service if our internet is out. We are too old for this but there is nothing like A2A2 milk, yogurt and butter....and the cream oh my gosh. Not bragging just saying it is worth the effort if you can do it. Thanks for the videos!
Thanks for this video. I got my freeze dryer last May to preserve my garden harvest. And now I’m ready to move on to prepared meals for summer camping trips. Appreciated the inspiration and I love seeing your travel videos.

You are so welcome!
You will love it but PLEASE watch their videos.
Good to see a not so perfect weather day to cook in...we need to adapt to all different circumstances
Yes, we really do need to be adaptable! Thanks.
Good experience/experiment
It was good the weather was bad so we could test it out in those conditions. Thanks.
I'm getting a kelly. Perfect demonstration for not so good weather. I love how it works. So appreciate you!
I got the Petromax Fire Kettle instead! A whistle instead of a (BOOM!) cork!
We love the Kelly and have used it many times over the past several years. It is fast and easy.
Awesome! Thanks for a great video. Stuff happens, always.
Yes, it does! Thanks.
That is such a neat little stove. Love the Stanley pot too. Great video. Val C
Thank you. We really like both of those!
We are having wind here too. I’m in Kansas and we are under a fire weather watch through tomorrow evening.
Goodness--be safe!
Dryer lint is also a good fire starter when dried leaves aren't readily available. Soup looked delicious!
Thanks. I have tried dryer lint but it seems I don't have the luck that you do with it. I must not be doing it right.
Make you a fold up solid metal screen to place around your kettle to block the wind.
Temu sells them for diddly!
Great idea. Thanks.

LOL! Thank you! I keep thinking I need to get knee pads and with our spring yard work coming up I really must do that!!! Always love your comments!
I saw a report on linier compressor used in the LG refrigerator they only last about five years. don't buy refrigerators with linier compressors.
Thanks
Good job! You guys did well under the circumstances! Glad you showed us how the Kelly kettle works. Thank you!
You are welcome.

Good to know. Thanks!
Great to see how things went during not great conditions. Always the real story.
Yes, it really is. It is always good to plan, but sometimes things just don't follow the plan!
Excellent! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video

I’d never heard of a Kelly kettle. What an ingenious little device.

@@Pygar2 Please let me know how it works for you. I was going to order the Kelly, but I was a little put off by the price. Thanks!
We love the Kelly, but if there is a more reasonably-priced similar product it would be worth looking into.
