One of the reasons why it is quiet and beautiful is that there are few foreign tourists. If the number of foreign tourists increases, it will be noisy and traffic jams will occur, and the town will become dirty. This is not discrimination.

I don't actually admire the tourist attractions in japan. But their **Normal** streets are freaking beautiful. You can find the tiny wonderful things anywhere.

I think Japan is the cleanest country in the world, I just love it and my dream is to visit it someday
i don’t know how to explain the euphoria that japan (specifically kyoto) brings me. it’s like a long, deep breath after the flood of worries and problems the world brings me. i’ve always adored traditional japanese architecture, it’s pleasing to the eye and looks almost as if it was formed with the rest of nature in the beginning of time. there’s so much beautiful nature, highlighted by the grace of sunlight. it just feels right, and feels happy. feels like home.

It’s quite sad to see the empty streets and so many of the shops closed. Two years ago, when I walked through these streets, they were packed with visitors and all shops were open. I hope Kyoto will recover from the pandemic.

Kyoto is so beautiful
The streets are so safe and crime free, the stores show their wares all the way out front and on the street where they can’t see them. The doors are made of wood/rice paper lattice, or bamboo/rice paper lattice, a lot of them. You feel safe walking the streets late at night/ early evening. I haven’t been there to see family in 46 years, but I remember feeling so safe, a warm, and welcomed. I recommend Japan to any one looking for a vacation.

Thanks for sharing this video. This brought back memories. No crowds in peak summer and pandemic compared to peak spring in 2019, when it was very crowded. People do add different energy to the place. Love kyoto temples.

What a beautiful video! In 2019, we stayed at the Kiyomizusanso ryokan shown on the left at 15:48. The hostess was very attentive to us and treated us well. It was walking back through time. The streets are very quiet at night and early morning. Very busy with visitors in the afternoon and evening with much shopping and eating too. The Kiyomizu-sera temple, just up the hill from here, is ancient and beautiful with a great view. For late night eating, a walk to downtown Kyoto is not far and offers many options. Thank you for filming your walk and bringing back great memories 😊

@ThHandOfGod so amazing! Really. We went to alot of different cities. It was so beautiful and the food was amazing. The subways and bullet trains are hard to find your way around at first but it got easier as time went on😅
