Here's my rankings with descriptions of all the five Rainbow Roads: 5th Wii U Rainbow Road: This is perhaps the weakest of the Rainbow Roads when it comes about design, layout, enjoyability and popularity. The rainbow looks very artificial and it doesn't have the magic that it's predecessors have as how it is set on a space station as this has many sharp turns that it'll make a very challenging track and one mistake will cost you a win. 4th SNES Rainbow Road: The first Rainbow Road in Mario Kart history, not too long but the lack of guardrails and the Thwomps smacking the track makes it a very solid track that it's pretty challenging on it's own right. 3rd Wii Rainbow Road: A very popular Rainbow Road that defined nostalgia for Mario Kart Wii fans, this Rainbow Road is infamous for being very challenging back in the Wii as how many players try to achieve a win by jumping through shortcuts as fast as possible. As for the nostalgia factor; this Rainbow Road isn't my childhood track as why I put it in number 3. 2nd N64 Rainbow Road: Now this is a Rainbow Road that I have nostalgia when I was a kid! And the best part is that this version fixed many notable issues that the original had in Mario Kart 64 in which it received a positive reception from the fanbase. I'm very happy that N64 Rainbow Road in 8 Deluxe is one of the best Rainbow Roads in this franchise. 1st 3DS Rainbow Road: It's no surprise that the best Rainbow Road and the best track of all Mario Kart series earns the number 1 spot. I mean, how can you top a track that takes you an epic adventure in space by passing through planets, driving into the moon and flying through an asteroid field? This Rainbow Road is very unique on it's own differing greatly from the other Rainbow Roads as it gives absolute satisfaction for the player once that they reached the goal by clearing this beautiful and majestic track that since it's introduction in Mario Kart 7, it became my number 1 favorite track of the series.
