Tbh Alex didn't do her princess duties n in this season she didn't even practice her magic to get stronger or nothing .She just focused on her other life n band ...like Bruh ! She really pissed me off!
Her forever wearing those shorts and strapped blouse when in her palace in Manjipoor heralds a bad omen for her subjects. She does not like Manjipoor at all. And because of that casual clothes hang-up, she is never ever going to improve herself, whether consciously or unconsciously, to become a better ruler, older and wiser. Instead, because of her focus on her musical band, Manjipoor is just a sideline to her and is of less value. Being dumb may be acceptable on the first series but she should have grown-out fast into a more capable and strong ruler in the second series. The storyline in the second series is too " way bit thin". The tv series writers are probably too lazy to create a much needed cleverness on Alex to make it more interesting when Alex clashes with Diva. Instead, the poor audience are forced to watch a forever dumb Alex always at the mercy of Diva the clever adversary. If this is how Alex' character would forever be, stuck-up in her dumbness, the series would never be successful to attract a larger variety of audience. It will remain small and confined to the teeny-bop fairytale and obscurity.
I think the writers of this season are too lazy to create the character development for alex & didn't hire back the actors of alex's family,JB,Marcus,Omar & Vashan(most of the side characters from the previous season),that's why this season is completely different from the 1st season for some reasons just like the 3rd season of h2o:just add water which Emma & her family were absent so the writers/director replace her with Bella due to Emma's actress was not available to film the 3rd season
