Oof! That Sonic music though! Still, the fact this comes with a rechargable battery makes it a million times better than every other mini arcade on the market. That's not saying much, but it's something I guess. How are the controls for throwing hadokens in Street Fighter?
These mini arcades are all the rage these days... but the quality control from China on knock offs is always... lets just say.. questionable. Seeing as the first one broke so quickly would scare me for the longevity of all of these! Thanks for the video overview/review, MLP!

It looks like a cool little device to play genesis games on the go. I also think this is the first one of these Chinese consoles that I've seen that was a collection of 16-bit games instead of 8-bit games. It would be neat to win.
Pretty awesome little machine for what it is! Me, and my brother both collect mini, tiny, plug and play arcades, and consoles. The sega Genesis was, and still is an awesome machine! Tins of fun games! The sound always seems to be off on Genesis emulation, but that's a minor point. I hope I get picked, but if I dont, I may just have to pick one up! :) thanks for tge review! I play all my older consoles on a CRT TV because that's what they were made for also newer TV's just are too clear and make everything too pixelated and CRT's smooth out the image.
From what I see, I'd rather spend 35$ on this than the go-retro from retro bit with all those filler games. I love these little handhelds. Great video!
I know this was a chinese product, but somehow i expected something a little better. I think i would like it for the novelty of the device and put it somewhere in my gameroom. On a side note i notice how awful green hill zone sounded in the background while you were talking. Ps Is this hackable? maybe it just need a decent emulator.
I think Sonic is running slow. If you put the video at 1.25x speed it instantly sound closer to normal. The craziest part is that if the emulation was better and they were actually licensed they could sell those for the same price with only 1 game and people would buy them. They would just have to make stickers for Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Ninja Turtles and all the other arcade games that were also available on the Genesis.
@Madlittlepixel, I think the value and overall quality is quite good for this plug-and-play unit. Since it only offers Composite out...you should not expect a great image, regardless of the cost! The fact that they offer the ability to upscale it to a proper display is good enough. My only reservation is the selection of games. Is the selection a spatchcock of original titles along with a filler of "hacked" and/or duplicate games. IMO, by virtue of the fact that it only has composite output, I don't see the upscaling a problem...I just question the integrity of the titles included on the system... That said, the HDMI output of the SNK Neo Geo Console should be better than what you report. Cheers, Brent

Thanks for the review! I think what sets this mini arcade apart from me is the inclusion of Street Fighter and six buttons! Did you sample the Street Fighter game, and if so, did you have low, medium and hi punch and kick ability? I love me some old school street fighter. Of my friends, I was only 1 of 2 Sega Genesis owners, the others owning Nintendo. I think I played Street Fighter 90% of the time, lol. This seems to be using the same hardware as the PVP... a Chinese AT Games ripoff. It has the same music on the menu screen, and the same awful sound.
Pal, this cost ~$25, and it's cool item for the shelf as decoration, that also works. I don't think anyone will buy this to play these games for real.

Anyone know that the screen turns dark. Seems like they use an vertical screen for this mini arcade. When you turn the screen vertical it's fine.
