I just want to join my voice to the other commenters. RUTH, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!! I LOVE YOU IN ALL YOUR VIDEOS! THANK YOU FOR KEEPING US ENTERTAINED DURING THIS HORRIBLE PANDEMIC❣❣❣ 😘🙏
It would be wonderful if there was a "Virtual Museum" online where I could learn about "Household history" which I find way more interesting than political history. I think many of the big changes in history would have been heavily influenced by domestic, household changes.
Well, all I can say is that I'm glad we don't use coal anymore. I despise housecleaning anyway, so I'd take wood ash over coal any day, thank you very much.
I don't get it, because coal was so hard to clean it drove incentive to invent ways to more easily clean holmes? Or is she saying the way our homes are designed now is to counter coal filth?
Thank you, Ruth, our revered teacher, for this offering. 💚🙂
I'm a big fan of Ruth and also Alex and Peter in all the farm series.

It sounds like we were actually better off before coal

Coal sounds as bad as nicotine smoke
it's far worse. what it provides is more steady and reliable and hotter heat. but now we have many energy alternatives and don't need it.
Wallpaper did exist prior to coal but only for the rich and not used greatly
