Kenzo Shirai got a lot of shade early in his career for doing only twisting passes, and then he swiftly put all of that to rest showing up with a laidout triple double and a tucked triple double in the same routine. He's truly a one of a kind gymnast in the modern era, with 6 skills named after him in the code (3 on FX and 3 on VT).
@@adrione3889 You must be joking surely ! He’s not even in the same level as many top European gymnasts ! So how can he beat Kohei Uchimura and many elite Japanese male gymnasts ??!! 😂
@@blackangel1690 Carlos is two times worl champion on floor and during the last championship he was the greatest favourite for the title, of course he is not great as kohei, doesn't outshine as shirai in 2017 and can't twist as shirai, but today he is the best on floor maybe with Artem dolgopyat, and success to combine twist, flip and a great execution each time despite if he can always do dumb mistake
Me too. It always bothers me if a win is decided by nuances. That's the worst because there will always be people who claim the silver medalist was robbed and it's hard to dismiss that when it comes down to the tiniest differences.

Such a shame he never won Olympic gold.
@@mariusa.5863 He got team gold, no individual gold unfortunately
@@mariusa.5863 He does have a team gold
He's the goat floor worker for me.
Greatest P-Bars routine ever that was Amazing super difficult and perfect.
That Epke Zonderland high bar routine is legendary!
To me he's the greatest high bar worker in history.
Zou's p-bar scores were - D = 7.0 and E = 9.433
these are both beyond belief - especially the E score
Epic routines!!! Keep the videos coming!
Nice video, but definitely missing some other big ones. For example Xiao Qin in 2007, 0.6 ahead of Berki in 2nd
Fantastic
Kenzo Shirai is the best floor exercise gymnast in the modern gymnastics era for sure ! 😁
I think he's the best of all time on floor! Nobody else tumbles like that - with that level of difficulty and execution as consistently as he does.
Yes of course and Carlos Yulo is just behind him

I'm pretty sure that was a double double not a triple double for Kenzo Shirai
No he started with a layout triple double and then did tucked triple double
It was a layout triple double and a tucked triple double
you are wrong.
I like big wins
Shirai ♥

that is all???????
a women's gymnastics would be way longer, it seems men rarely have gymnasts that dominate competitions hmm
