I have a 2014 Lincoln MKS that wouldn’t start. Yesterday My neighbor who’s a mechanic told me the fuel pump may need to be changed and I could have it towed towed to a shop the 1st thing in the am and they’ll look at it. I called Firestone to get an idea of pricing and and they quoted me $900 for a new fuel pump. I woke up early in the am to search online and came across this page. I drove to auto zone the first thing in the am and bought the part for $50 at auto zone. Followed instructions on the video and the car started with no hesitation. Thank you my guy 🤜🏿🤛🏼
Great Video w/ a no nonsense presentation. Thank you for that! Great info. Gonna pick one up & put it in the glove box. 2013 MKS w/ 3.5 ecoboost. 98,000.
Life saver bro that just happen to me at work so I call up the closest dealership and went and got the part, switch it out with no tools and I’m ready to roll again , I will secure it when I get home.
Holy SHHHHT this just happened to my 2014 yesterday. Was about to have it towed to ford and prob get ripped off....I'll be trying this first, thanks so much! Crazy the timing of the post to my problem...
@@mrrooster4876 I have a 2014 and was wondering if this would be in the same location on my vehicle because my vehicle is having the same symptoms. Thanks to your comment I now know it’s in the same location so I’ll be trying this tomorrow in the morning.
I thought I’d need a new fuel pump for my 2014 MKS and was quoted $900 at Firestone yesterday. Saw this video and then this comment that matched my exact year model and make and became really hopeful. Bought the part for $50 at auto zone, attached it according to the video and was back in business. I appreciate your comment and the dude for posting the video.
My 2013 Lincoln MKS lost fuel pressure on me yesterday and then eventually stalled I’m definitely going to try this before I get it towed anywhere! Thank you for this video! So is it the same part for the Ford Taurus as the MKS?
You don't have to take the seat out to change the relay. You do have to if you are going to change the fuel pump. What I'm talking about is finding the error code that the computer in the car is sending out of why it won't start. It's the first step before you start a big project. If the car starts with starting fluid then it is a fuel problem if it doesn't you will have to do what's in this video. ua-cam.com/video/VQ-75h8USyo/v-deo.html

Your welcome! After I figured it out it was so simple I had to post bc most other videos made it so long and complicated.

That's smart! Mine broke at 60,000 miles.

This was my problem! Thank you so much for posting this, prob saved me hundreds!
Glad I could help!
Hope it works I guess it's a problem with them. The Ford dealership said they have redesigned them 2 or 3 times.

Thanks for the video. Just replaced, in my 2014 mks. It started right up. Bought module on Amazon $42.
Thanks for the video. I have been looking everywhere for the module location
Great help, fixed my 2014 MK-S
Good job I have a 2012 mks fwd and at crank it's taken alittle long to start so I want to fix it . Don't know if it's that but thanks for the info 👍

Let me know how it goes!
It is the same part in the same spot.
Great job thanks
Thank you 😊
Thank you 💛
I’m having the same problem just mine takes a long time to crank but once I turn it off again it starts fast back to back so idk if it is this part?
It's the part I would try first because all your other options are expensive.
I’m having that same problem now
How many miles, and did you have any DTCs? Not sure if it's my fuel pump, or the module.
It's the first thing to try, easy and cheap. The problem really acts like a fuel pump.
@@platinumstar6162 Did you have any codes?
@mercuryrising9390 if I remember right it was low fuel pressure
My 2014 mks just did this woke up one day it wouldn’t start. What’s the name of the part
Fuel control module.
I drove the car all day i go and change the plugs and coils now it won't start i was a little low in gas
I would find out what error codes the computer is sending before doing anything else.
Do I have to take the back seat out
