How do you SCALE reference to an image in AutoCAD

You found your dream plan on Pinterest and want to use it. Only one problem what are the sizes of the rooms? How vast are those halls? Scale to reference image in AutoCAD.
Protip: Entry doors are typically 3'-0" door scale in reference to entry door 95% of the time the drawing will be the right size

How do I select reference? I cannot see where to choose that

Select the object you want to scale
then type the command scale
press enter
click the starting point to scale from
Type R enter
Click the starting point of the line then select the end of the line
Drag the mouse to the edge of the line to be referenced and click
Hint: it helps To overlap the endpoint of the reference line and the actual line to be scaled
