Ednovean House is a grand Victorian Villa that underwent an enormous renovation in 2014. The imposing property enjoys panoramic views over St Michael's Mount and Mount's Bay and sleeps up to 14 guests across 6 bedrooms.

My grandfather Tom Phillips owned Ednovean Farm and many generations before him , stretching from the main road down to boat cove beyond the village . The original farmhouse was the former rectory Penlary in the village , he built big granite barns in the village . My grandmother , only daughter of a wealthy Yorkshire woolen mill owner , came on holiday with her aunts , they rented Ednovean House . Tom Phillips and Edith Nettleton met and to the dismay of her aunts , they fell in love . After they married they eventually had 6 children my mother being the eldest with 5 brothers . Penlary became too small , but Edith always yearned to live at Ednovean that has such a spectacular view . I have many childhood memories of staying there . In 1940/1 we stayed the 18 months , to be away from bombing further up the country . After his father died my uncle Geoffrey Phillips took on the farm until the late 1970s early 80s . Water was drawn from a well by a hand pump outside the back of the house . The most popular toilet was an earth closet in the back yard , especially nice on a breezy day . In the summer of 1941 I remember the threshing machine where the farm building garden is now , my grandmother bringing out jugs of milky coffee and home made saffron buns for croust . It is amazing to see the whole place restored and in pristine condition .
