what Saudi Arabia is accomplishing and proposing is both amazing and extremely hopeful for the future of our planet. Would I personally like to see every project, you bet! The reality of an economic impact to my own family, well probably not. For now, it truly is made for the 1% to maybe 5% of people on the planet that could go. But, with that being said, if they are successful, they are setting the standards that could be implemented by other countries for future generations. Certainly hats off to the Prince and the people behind these endeavors, as completely new economic acknowledgements to their future is being realized, and it gives me hope that other countries will follow their stead in the possibilities of living, revolutionary design, and truly new approaches to the hospitality and entertainment resort type of industries. My fingers, and toes are crossed that they are successful. Regardless, kudos to the Crown Prince for such amazing insight into the "What If" scenarios!

Also the entire developed world as source of Tourists. What will happen from USA, Europe, China and all arising economical Superpowers of East Asia, if Oil ends ? It will result in an crash of wealthiness all around the world. And how many people can order a family holidays which will cost 30.000 Dollar for some weaks in this futuristic Holiday destination ? May be to spent a little more of money into reforesting the deserts and building sustainable touristic attraction, which may be payable for a world of past Oil wealthiness.

You should consider the taxes that will have to be shelled out by corporations doing business there. Yeah, you can look at each tourist, but that is just a small part to it when there's going to be hundreds of thousands of dollars in services and products flowing through this region. I know 28BN seems like a lot, even compared to his 500BN fund, but that's just his play money. I don't think people truly understand just how much money they have to invest and solve any problem at their leisure.

Lots dead and the fish have vanished... you used to see dozens of different types now it's the same few types and not many of those either. Their reef will die too in a few years...

to be honest though all of this things are solely credited to MBS himself.. what a visionary man.. i've worked in saudi since 2004 and when i first came to the country all i see is just a massive desert. Riyadh was just starting to progress and nothings change since 2 decades later. not until this vision 2030 project came out in 2017, imho, this is actually long overdue this project could've been done before MBS's reign like where are all the $money$ goes since the inception of oil in 1938.. like they were the first to discover oil before UAE but then dubai and UAE are more progressive than them..

1 million spending $5800 is more than 10 million spending $500 on a vacation. Simple math. Not to mention the margins on luxury is way higher than cheap goods. There’s a reason LVMH is the biggest fashion brand in the world and not the Gap.
