The focal length f is related to the radius of curvature r of the spherical convex mirror by:
    A) f = r
    B) b = -(1/2)r
    C) b = +(1/2)r
    D) f = -r

The direction in which light is going is considered as positive direction according to sign convention, then how "f" became negative for convex mirror ? Kindly explain more on this point .

Note the "-" sign above the "f" for focal length indicating the focal length is negative for a convex mirror.

Good, optics, one of my weak spots.

Typically less time is spent in the classroom covering optics.
