I am so oversensitive, often feeling worse about someone's problems than they do. As such, at first upon listening to you, I felt worse. But I listened again, because I have great respect for you and your values. And it turned around, letting me feel i need to be more hands-on and not give up. I love you as a fellow human being with a soul full of love and caring, and for what you do. Thank you for giving me the need to to be more involved in my own country.

Animal Rescue is a hard thing. But don't forget that you can't change the world but every animal that gets a second chance and finds a loving home is worth the work! But the governments should help the rescuers by changing the law and by showing the effects of the things people do to their pets! Keep fighting and the future could be a better place for animals!
Thank you for your video. I went to Cuba in December, spent a day in Havana. SO many stray dogs, needing to see a Vet. I couldn't enjoy my trip. My brother has also lived in China for 18 years, I've seen videos on how dogs are dinner and how they're treated. 💔💔😭💔💔

I love my rescue dog Roxy so much and am very thankful of someone like you that rescued her. She brings joy to my families life, and am so happy that we bring love and joy to our dog as well. Think of all the happy dogs that have been rescued and all the families that receive unconditional love from those rescued animals. People like you bring a lot of joy and love to animals that would never have received it.

Yes, she is a wonderful narrator.... and a wonderful human being. She lays her heart out to anyone that will listen. She doesn't 'sugar coat' anything. I respect her honesty even though the facts are difficult to accept. There is no doubt that she tries her very best to do well in the field of animal rescue. I just watched Valia's video, it was very touching.

I saw Vilai's video but was to disheartened to comment because all she said was TRUE!
I cried the whole way through. For her.
For me.
For all of the suffering that happens everyday all over the world.😭
I didn't comment because I had no hope to offer her and did not want to drag her further into the hole that I myself am in. 😞
I love 💞 her too much for that.
Her word's hit home so hard.
I felt exactly like I did when I left my position at my no kill shelter I worked at.
Burnt out.
NOTHING I DID MADE A DIFFERENCE. 😞😣😢
NOTHING HAS CHANGED.
I will NEVER live to see my dream realized.😭
It's a sad fact and it hurts like Hell.😣
You can say what you want Viktor about your "evolution". That nothing really changes.
But that does not make it better.😢
I SURVIVE with the fact that there will be homeless healthy animals living in shelters all over my country (USA) euthanized EVERY DAY! That the seniors & special needs cases will be overlooked and pts first.😭
That animal abuse continues despite stricter laws.
That unwanted lives of puppies/kittens are ended before they have a chance to begin-cruelly tossed away like garbage.
That there are strays that die on the streets every day.
Alone.
Afraid.
And the worst fact is?
That it seems like most people just don't give a damn!
It's FRUSTRATING!
It's INFURIATING!
And it's HEARTBREAKING!
And now with my dreams of making a HUGE difference for the animals in this 🌎 world shattered around my feet, I surrender and except it.
That does not mean I like it or don't do whatever I can.
But it's only small donations and small numbers of animals. 😞
It has broken me beyond all reasoning that I can see this "thing".
This horrible, awful, terrible THING and am POWERLESS to stop it.
All I can do is prune a few branches as Takis said.
I can't cut down the tree like I once thought. 😢
It's a bitter pill to swallow and an even tougher thing to EXIST with.
I say exist because that's what I have been reduced to.
Not living.
Existing.
Surviving. 😢
I instead voiced my frustrations on Takis's channel.
It's just NOT FAIR!
It's one thing to say it will never be the way we want things but, quite another to live it.
I know it.
Vilia knows it.
Takis knows it.
And yes you and your team know it as well Viktor.
It kills me to this day that I can't "fix" it.
But that's the unfortunately reality of the situation.
You can't just "fix" it. 😞
The only hope I have is in the old story about the old man, the young boy, & saving starfish.
I can't save them all.
I CAN'T.
But I know it means the world to those that I can help and save.
Is it great?
No.
But I exist with that reality.
Doing something is better than doing nothing at all.
I have to be satisfied and exist with that.

Even through the chaos of an animal rescue from a spiteful and destructive owner as with the two dogs a few days ago, you shine your light and hope and spirit on all aspects of what you do to an extent that is unique in my experience. We've been watching animal rescue shows for a decade or more. Yours are by far the most well-written and produced videos and have always been a delight even when they pull real emotional tears from our eyes, which is almost every time. You have made a wonderful choice for your life's profession and the people you hang out with, including this beautiful lady Valia, who is amazing in her own right. We stand in awe of your program, sir, and your aim to help so many little beings to live out their lives as secure and healthy as you can possibly help them to achieve. Thanks for what you do. Not many people in the world are in your category.
Thanks for the strong words.Many rescuer are feeling tired burn out. But we shouldn't give up. So, what you can ever do, do it. And that's enough. We never will change the whole world. But in our own little world, we can do a lot.
This video touched my heart and I cried. I cannot imagine the emotional roller coaster that you all must go through on a daily basis.
I volunteered at a local shelter years ago and emotionally couldn’t take it . I have six cats though💜

I can understand how Valia feels. I live in the US and there are stray dogs and cats but not on the same scale as other countries like you mentioned. If strays are picked up they are taken to shelters and made available for adoption. Many do not get adopted and get euthanized. Some are rescued by other adoption and outreach organizations before they are euthanized as the shelters can only take in so many. The one good thing is that if they are adopted, they are spayed/neutered and depending on where you adopt the adoption fees can vary. My local shelter adoption fees range by dog size and is not much over $100.00 for the largest dogs. Rabies shots are required in some locals and not others with the fee being less if they are spayed/neutered. I think that no matter where people live, if they have a dog or cat it should have to be registered. If owners choose not to vaccinate for Rabies then the registration fee should be higher. I know in some countries there are so many strays that have no owners so who would pay for these dogs to be fixed to prevent more strays? I have always been an animal person. I love dogs and have always had dogs. I am a super responsible dog owner, meaning I don't just open the door and let my dogs run loose. There will always be irresponsible dog and cat owners who think it's okay to let their animals run loose and if they are intact males/females this leads to unwanted pregnancies and the puppies end up at shelters. It goes back to how some cities, counties, states require Rabies vaccination and others don't. In my county it's required but yet in a neighboring county, generally out in the country, it's not required. There is also a leash law in my county and yet not in others. Unless there is some type of regulation that is the same across the board, it will never change. Everyone has to be on the same page in some aspects but it's always going to be different in other countries. It is something that always makes me sad about the world we live in. There will always be good people, like us and there will always be bad people. But at the end of the day it all comes down to just that.......people. Some try to make the world a better place and some just don't care about anything but themselves.

I give myself a talking to and eventually realize as long as I help when I can I have to believe I am doing something worthwhile with what I have got. Victor I hope you see my comment, while in Greece two years ago I found a rescue to help me bring back to England a very sick cat, I still have her and she is much healthier now with life long medication and I love her very much, victor the thing is I did ask the rescue team why nobody seems to care, she told me they had set up a trap and spay for cats and dogs they organised about ten vets from other countries to to go to Greece and offer there services for free. The Greek government said yes but on one condition, HOW MUCH MONEY WERE THEY GOING TO GET. This to me stink of corruption so the vets had no option but to withdraw there kind offer. How cruel it leaves me saddened to think of all the suffering this has added to the stray problem in Greece, I’ve also brought a dog back from Greece. Thank you victor for all your work and Valders.

I had the same problem here. There is no veterinarian services where I live. I was trying to find a way to get a colony of cats I look after neutered. I was contacted by a wonderful organisation from New Zealand that visits pacific island nations and perform mass spay and neuter operations. They were willing to come, but it never happened. The problem was they needed a tax exemption to bring in all the donated medical supplies and equipment. Unfortunately here even with the required paperwork organisations have been hit with considerable import duties.
I completely understand the frustration, going along with Animal rescue. For myself, I have taken this decision: NEVER to get a dog from a breeder, because there are already too much dogs around, without a home. Adopting especially dogs, who have issues with either people or either other dogs, because they have a history. I have enough time and patience to take care of those, so I feel the need of taking in the difficult cases, and give their souls time to heal, maximum two at a time. And spoil them rotten.
I know that other people, who are willing to adopt a homeless dog might live in circumstances, which don’t allow them to take in the very challenging dogs. So I leave the „easy“ dogs to them.
And I don’t change the world, not a bit, but I change the life of two dogs, and my own at the same time. It’s probably not much, but it’s the best I can do.
And by supporting channels like yours, Valia‘s or Takis‘, and by making people see how good difficult dogs can become, I might rise awareness. That‘s enough to make me happy.
Probably only a drop in the ocean, but still better than nothing.
And: I‘m never going to get that pure bred poodle I‘ve been dreaming of for all of my life, but I‘m always going to have an adventurous journey, which changes myself, as a person.

I'm sorry to hear Valia's having such a stressful time in Greece. Greece is a country which is difficult to say the least to get through to these people and the ones in Crete to spay and neuter their animals or as they like to say castrate! The hunters and Farmers there are non-compliant and cruel!!! So I'm sure Valia's problems are complicated by the disrespect these people have for their animals. Tell her not to give up❣️

We sadly cannot save all the abused and abandoned doggies but we can rescue the one that is right in front of
us asking for our help.

Unfortunately people are bad by nature. The cruelty some sub humans show toward animals is disgusting. That said it's people like you Viktor that is our fighting chance to change and help innocent defenseless dogs and animals. Please know you are strong and you are special in this world. You are every stray hurt abused dogs light. You are invaluable to our dogs that need you.
I've been donating for about two years now to you guys! Love what you do. Rescuing is painful and hard and draining, but it's also incredibly rewarding and the love you feel from an animal you have rescued is monumental. People in the States who deal with animal cruelty cases, dog fighting, hoarding...the aftermath is just so hard and tugs on your very soul, but, getting to know you are the reason that creature gets to be healed and live a better life is enough for people to go on. If she really wants to understand a world of hopelessness, there are those who rescues farm animals from slaughter house auctions. That's easily the most endlessly heartbreaking thing to keep going back to, knowing the fate of the rest of the animals, knowing there are no animal cruelty laws for the meat industry, though we've fought for some for dogs and cats. All rescue is worth it. Keep on fighting.

Animal rescue pulls at your very soul. I know honestly right now I could not do it, as I would feel as Valia does (I couldn't finish listening to her as I was in tears). God bless you all for all you do for animals , I haven’t forgotten you and will help you hopefully soon with a donation , I have one senior old dog and two senior cats that are taken a lot of money with there health due to old age but I do all I can for them as I love them so much even if it means going without food myself as am only able to work 10 hours a week due to health . There should be a law that the Govt. will impement that they will make that there will be registration of pet you have so that every owner will bw punished if they will not take care of their pets or if they will let them astray so that there will be no more dogs in the streets.

Its true that you can be pulled in the direction of negativity when you see the suffering over and over again, i get that all too well, but there is always a little hope with each life that is saved. I want to save them all but in reality it wont happen but we can all do a little bit to help and try and make the world a better place for our animals xx
You hit a PROFOUND Truth at 8:00. This is the reason Humanity must switch the frequency of existence. We can do it one at a time and educate in the mien time and Pray and bless the souls of the animals that suffer along the way, doing what we can to continue helping who and how we each can.

I see you are right about social injustices, it's all about being positive, taking satisfaction in our small victories and putting our resources toward what matters to us. This is the difficult thing, to be at peace while knowing the world as it is. Agreed, that few, if any problems have been solved by humans, but we can work in the direction of making something better. The world is full of suffering, and that is not likely to end in the human lifetime. We just have the situations around us, and that is what we work with. If we can reduce suffering just a little bit, that is enough for a person.

Rescue is overwhelming and very stressful and many of us in You Tube land needed to hear your words too. It helps to focus on the good that is being done instead of how much still needs to be done.

Everyday I spend 4 hours crocheting and sewing beds, coats, pouches, snoods , nests. These items for rescue dogs, cats and wildlife. Sometimes it just depresses me. I can never work hard enough to help all rescuers and save wildlife. How can we change the laws? How can we stop cruelty? How can we educate people to protect our fellow beings? We can only do our best and every effort each special person offers makes a difference.💖 Viktor, Valia and Takis are my heroes. 💖 What you do makes a HUGE difference. For Valia I would say that you make an enormous difference for the pets that you CAN help. When I started fostering dogs, I was overwhelmed with the need every time I went to the shelter. Per my situation, I can only foster one at a time. It killed me to leave wonderful pets behind, and I struggled with this until I realized that I had to respect the limitations I have, and focus on preparing each of my fosters as best I could for a happy, healthy permanent home. We cannot save them all. It simply isn’t possible. But we CAN keep trying, and save those that we can. Big hugs to you. Please don’t lose heart.

Understand why Valia is so depressed, I get that way to. It does seem like it’s never ending heartbreak. I will never understand cruelty towards others, especially children & pets. I do what I can in my neighborhood, hard when you’re old & on a fixed income & taking care of other family members. I support in the ways I can, so many in this world need help. I life in Denmark 🇩🇰 we don't have dogs living on the streets, but many adopt dogs! Here you can get in jail or big fine, if you aband your dog. There the dogs must be chipped, by the breeder before you can sell them. I know that people have to follow the rules before it's even possible. It must be about tradition sadly.

There was a little boy walking along an ocean beach at sunset. Every time he saw a starfish that had been washed up by the tide, he picks it up and flings it as far out to sea as he can. Someone else on the beach said, "Hey, kid, why are you doing that? You really think you can make a difference?" And the little boy throws one more starfish into the water, and says "Well, it made a difference to that one."
Valia, Victor, everyone - each of the animals you have saved is one more beautiful living creature your kindness made a difference to. I see the way the animals respond to your loving hands. I see the triumph of a dog who's so sick and weak and injured that he can't even stand up and walk. But then I see him recovering from his problems and frolicking in the sunshine with the other animals. Every little thing you do to restore the soul of one of these sweet beings MAKES A DIFFERENCE to the entire universe. The more love there is, the better place the world becomes. Showing love the way you do *MAKES THINGS BETTER* - it's not a hopeless futile effort at all. And you are being a good example to other people. Draw strength from the love you have put into the world. Have a sandwich and a nice cold drink, and maybe even a nap. You deserve to be rewarded for your work.
