- Leonardo da Vinci's aerial screws actually can work when built with modern materials. A University of Maryland engineering team designed and tested the underlying technology as part of a design contest. Then, team member Austin Prete built Crimson Spin, an unmanned quadcopter drone that flies using da Vinci's screw-like design.

When creating an otherwise beautifully made video, please pay attention to the correct direction of rotation of the Da Vinci screw!
Especially at minute 1:13 the turning screw moves upwards against the physically correct direction.

Remember her in the king just refuse to find that because the technology doesn't exist to allow her but I feel like it easily would've worked. I can see it working easily but how do? How do you land i'm thinking that's why I never took off mother the jump off a cliff if you want to learn how to fly because it can't land the same thing.
