When speaking about My A'ntonia and anti-immigration aspects of the post war era I continue to wonder when the United States will ever not be anti-immigration. Thank you for this lecture. I am a huge Willa Cather fan, for whom I am grateful for making me a fan of Nebraska. I have traveled through the state on many occasions (got caught in a hailstorm when giant chunks of ice fell from the sky) and now look forward to exploring the state in the future. The writings of Willa Cather and Mari Sandoz can only inform me of Nebraska's past. I look forward to experiencing the state's present and future.
