I can see the Captain's point, but I can agree with the Administrator too. This is NOT the place to persecute the war, and there are authorities to deal with this sort of thing, for this specific reason. Your retaliation, annihilation of the other side for one of them pulling a weapon that seems to have failed to harm your people, is very much an aggressive looking thing from the outside, especially without knowledge of the details of your conflict.
This is one of those things where, I like that the author IS giving us the outside view of it, as it shows that humans, in this case, aren't really comporting themselves the best, but we can understand them. This woman's team acted less like traders and more like military here, which they likely are given some of the hints as to how this all went down, so that's a good little detail.
Still, the Administrator on a trade station isn't really the person to know or care about this sort of thing, and is more going to get onto the people who start trouble, and while I do imagine he'd get onto the Fell for their part in it, sounds like there were none to be berated for it, and given we don't hear about them contacting the station, I'd say his only focus can be on the humans.
yeah the admin has only one party to talk to at that moment since all the perpetrators are dead, the humans gunned down all of them when only one pulled a weapon (if it had just been the one to get obliterated I could see them somewhat as justified), the admin is from/ in neutral space to their conflict, etc

Did you just time travel in from the 50's?
I mean just take a look at the kind of people writing this if you’re just now noticing. One of them got through most of the story before revealing the human was a man. The writer then immediately made a point to show that they were gay and in love with an alien male.
