I do absolutely Love the Aquila 36 Island and Aquila 44
I fell in love with Catamarans as a kid.. Both Powered and Sail.. Some Day It is my Dream to Own one..
Boat Test's review is what turned me on to Aquila.. The 36 with it's outboards.. Open Lay out and 2 Staterooms really is a solid choice for people looking for a great quick boat but want some extra room too..

The design of catamaran is for choppy waters. This thing should, be good in every storm. It is not most effective, yet it has control like boats design for storm. I like, that it has stability of catamaran on yacht. Some designs are close to perfection. Great work from designers and their vision of stable boat in every wetter. We need more people with understanding of all aspects of usable design.

The one drawback I see is that having the engines hanging off the back, it limits the swim access off the back of boat.
