I agree that men sometimes resent their partner for having or making more money than them. I see it with some of my married family members. I disagree with the idea that women are penalized for excelling in life. I think it's quite the exact opposite but I completely understand the context used. I think that these women that do excel in life work no stop and diligently to get to where they are at. By the time these "successful" women (and some men) search for a partner, they probably haven't realized that their dating preferences didn't change with their growth. There is the issue of settling to just get by because you put yourself on a clock with a societal check list. I agree that men sometimes resent their partner for having or making more money than them. I see it with some of my married family members. I disagree with the idea that women are penalized for excelling in life. I think it's quite the exact opposite but I completely understand the context used.
I think that these women that do excel in life work no stop and diligently to get to where they are at. By the time these "successful" women (and some men) search for a partner, they probably haven't realized that their dating preferences didn't change with their growth. There is the issue of settling to just get by because you put yourself on a clock with a societal check list.
I also think that for Nicki's situation (if real) and others like it stem from a pattern of gambling when choosing a partner you "know" or think is your type.
