    ABOUT SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME
For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Superhero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.
    ABOUT MICHAEL GIACCHINO
Composer MICHAEL GIACCHINO has credits that feature some of the most popular and acclaimed film projects in recent history, including The Incredibles, Coco, Jojo Rabbit, Ratatouille, Star Trek, Jurassic World, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, SpiderMan: Homecoming and War for the Planet of the Apes. Giacchino’s 2009 score for the Pixar hit Up earned him an Oscar®, a Golden Globe®, the BAFTA, the Broadcast Film Critics' Choice Award and two GRAMMY® Awards. Giacchino studied filmmaking at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. After college, he landed a marketing job at Disney and began studies in music composition, first at Juilliard, and then at UCLA. He moved from marketing to producing in the newly formed Disney Interactive Division where he had the opportunity to write music for video games. After moving to DreamWorks Interactive, he was asked to score the temp track for the video game adaptation of The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Subsequently, Steven Spielberg hired him as the composer and it became the first PlayStation game to have a live orchestral score, recorded with members of the Seattle Symphony. Giacchino went on to score numerous video games including Spielberg’s Medal of Honor series. Giacchino’s work in video games sparked the interest of J.J. Abrams, and thus began their long-standing relationship that would lead to scores for the hit television series Alias and Lost, and the feature films Mission Impossible III, Star Trek, Super 8 and Star Trek Into Darkness. Additional projects include collaborations with Disney Imagineering on music for Space Mountain, Star Tours (with John Williams), the Ratatouille ride in Disneyland Paris, and the Incredicoaster on Pixar Pier at California Adventure.

This particular piece in the soundtrack somehow represents something even bigger than the scene or the film itself. It portrays quite flawlessly the way you feel right after you've lost someone you loved. The disbelief, the mourning and the infinite sadness from the loss, which sometimes feels like it can literally tear you apart. Just huge amounts of pure emotion embedded right in to just over four minutes of music. Beautiful.

Looking straight into the Green Goblin's crazy eyes with ferocity with just a bag and a small debris even though he can just kill her in a blink of an eye
Trying to stay strong and say that she's ok despite the how fatal her injuries are
All cause she doesn't want Peter to get hurt
Looking back in the past films and No Way Home, no doubt she's my favorite Aunt May and I'm really heartbroken that Peter had to lose yet another person he cares for. First Uncle Ben, then Tony, and now Aunt May (when you think of it, the time gap between Tony's and May's deaths aren't too far from each other, Spidey's gonna be needing therapy by this point just cause of how bad his trauma is now)

This was probably one of the saddest deaths in MCU. Unlike uncle Ben's death from the other two versions which were quick, aunt May's death was slow and prolonged. When I watched in the theatre, I felt the grief slowly piling up until it was too overwhelming to take, and the scene still kept adding more mournful elements like Peter crying in slow-mo and Happy seeing it from the car. I thought the line "with great power comes great responsibility" had already been overused, but I was gladly wrong. They built it up so well that it was totally fitting and it made me cry. I imagine the scene that's playing with this music while Peter is holding May and crying for this loss. The shot zooms out as the music picks up to show Norman standing on top of a tall building in the distance. He's looking down at the destroyed site as Peter gets closed in on. There's a look of regret and utter shame on his face. He turns away and rests his body against a wall and looks up to the sky. That frown slowly turns into a smile as the Goblin takes hold again. Forming into a grin. He knows even if he is fated to die at the hand of a Spiderman. Of a Peter Parker. He still won in his own way to take something so important.

They protreyed this scene perfectly. This is by far the saddest death of any Spider-Man movie, and it was so realistic, too. The way Happy looked at Peter and May, it looked like he immediately knew what happened. You could see the saddness in his eyes, and he also noticed that Peter didn't care about the agents pointing guns at him, and then after, he watched Jameson rant about how "Evil" Peter was. Everyone hated Peter because of Jameson and Mysterio, and Peter hated himself because he thought that it was his own fault. The music was perfect, too. Miachael Giacchino slaps in every movie he scores. All the tom holland spidermans, the incredibles, Up, Inside Out, basically any Pixar movie that can make you cry.

The scene...the music...It was so powerful, Aunt May was amazing, we had her for 3 Spider Man Films and she was always caring, kind and hilarious. That scene where Peter sees blood on Aunt May...that just hit me. May was curious what was going on, but Peter comforted her....He said it's gonna be fine...even though he knew it wasn't, his only family died on his arms and he thought it was his fault. Happy came, shocked, but he didn't have time to feel his emotions as the police caught up to him. The scene in the rain while the music was playing was just phenomenal, it gave us a strong, sorrowful emotion...That I've never actually felt In a Spider Man movie ever since the death of Gwen...
"With great power comes great responsibility...." - Uncle Ben...

One thing I will say about this track is that definitely punctuates this version of Peter, between him and his older predecessors, now having sufferer the worst of the live-action cinematic Spideys.
Keep in mind that I am not disregarding the suffering of Maguire's and Garfield's Spideys. What I want you to keep in mind and realize that those two still have a few of the people they care about to help push them forward when they feel like giving up -- Maguire's Parker has Mary Jane, and he and Garfield's Parker still have their Aunt May. Holland's Parker lost his. At an age where both of his predecessors still had their versions of May.
This version of Peter has completely lost everyone via being forgotten by his friends and allies, and his only remaining relative being dead. He's all alone, with -- I dare say -- "no way home". He is the youngest, but right now he is the one that I see has suffered the worst. And given that Spidey's stories always involve tragedy and things getting worse (as Maguire and Garfield's Peters can attest to) as they get older? Hoo boy.

This. Scene. I love how emotional it got. I knew May died way before the movie came out because of the leaked soundtrack, but when she was dying and Peter yelled helplessly for help and then he got shot for it. Happy yelling at Peter to run while Peter was knelt by May, (if Uncle Ben does exist it could mirror his death), man he chills. The music pulled its weight amazingly, and the set piece with Peter looking at the screen with Jameson's face towering over him.. perfection.

Tom's Peter had consequences but I think people misunderstand the idea of when people like me say that Tom needed consequences that TRULY affected him.
In this entire movie, this masterpiece of a Spider-Man movie, people always have pointed out that Peter is just a kid. Doctor Strange? He stated it perfectly, "After all we've been through, sometimes I forget that you're just a kid."
We didn't need to see Tom's Peter to experience another consequence of his actions. We needed to see him REALIZE how dire those consequences can become. He needed to finally mature into the Spider-Man that we all grew up to respect and admire.
He's portraying a kid, I get it but he was never my Spider-Man. Because so far, in every MCU movie crossover he's been in, and even his own standalone movies, he's failed in all expectations of what a Spider-Man is to us.
His actions to neglect the RESPONSIBILITY of stepping up in Far From Home is what caused all of this. It's what lead Mysterio to reveal his identity and even then he's always had someone else to take care of it for him or help him with it.
I understand he's a kid, but he's a kid with a huge responsibility of a hero. Something everyone around him has been trying to teach him, that if he has the ability to help those around himself then it is his moral obligation to do so. That with Great power, Comes with Great Responsibility.
His actions of jumping the gun to erase everyone's memories without even trying or considering that there maybe other options is what led to this multiverse breakdown. He neglected those possible consequences yet again when Strange warned him that tampering with the spell could be catastrophic, meaning he ignored the consequences of what might come of his actions. He didn't even consider what could've gone wrong in the first place.
When the Sinister Six (five) came, he saw the state of Norman Osborn and he chose willingly to ignore it. He stated that it wasn't his responsibility to help him. Only did Aunt May finally plant a seed in his mind that it started to change his perspective. Maybe, just maybe there's another way...?
When Tom finally puts all the pieces together that these guys are all gonna die, he'd be sending them to their deaths, he realizes his actions could cause these people to die. It's up to him now because he has the ability to change their fate. It's become his RESPONSIBILITY to change their fate.
Even when this ideology was challenged, Aunt May reassured him before her death that he was doing the right thing. And in that moment, she teaches Tom those famous last words. With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility. He needs to keep trying, it's his responsibility to keep trying.
I think that's the funny part, I'm so fucking happy Aunt May taught him this last lesson. But what really cemented this was the interaction between him and previous Spider-Men. Aunt May's last lesson almost went to waste but he was finally convinced to keep fighting for what's right, to keep trying.
He kept the memory alive by curing all the villains, by being reminded by that same ideology of Responsibility. Even when confronted with the Green Goblin, the murderer of Aunt May, he was reminded one last time that there is ALWAYS another way. A path to being better. Options to consider. HIS RESPONSIBILITY to try to do better, and to find better options.
It wasn't the fact that he had help that invalidated him to us as a Spider-Man. It's because he was in Tony Stark's shadow, becoming so dependent and never learning that his actions could truly threaten the life of someone he loved. Repeating those same mistakes over and OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL Aunt May's death. Just like a kid he repeated those mistakes until he had to learn the brutal/hard way.
Just like a kid huh? Well, I guess you could say he finally grew up.
Tobey and Andrew were so proud of him at the end of the movie, as were ALL Spidey fans when he learned his lesson. He now realizes the dire consequences of his actions and that he alone has that responsibility to bear with him. Now being independent he can now truly grow and mature into Peter Parker who constantly reminds himself to not repeat those mistakes. That Spider-Man can represent something more to the people, his friends, loved ones and especially himself.
You want my input on all three generations of Spider-Man? Well first off, I loved Tobey and Andrew more than I ever did with Tom but after this damn movie? I saw them all as equals but I can't deny it anymore, I love Tom.
He's become my definitive live action Spider-Man, not because of his movies or feats of strengths and weaknesses. But because he finally EARNED IT, he earned that title of Spider-Man. He has the best story arc throughout the live action Spider-Men. He went from immature, neglectlant kid who didn't realize the gravity of his actions because he's always had someone. To a grown up mature and responsible hero who struggles on a day to day basis like everyone else trying to become more independent in life while juggling two different lives in the process.
The previous Spider-Men have always and will be Legends but Tom's? I just can't wait to see what kind of Legend he becomes and the impression he leaves on the legacy of Spider-Man.

Michael Giacchino nailed with his score once again, this theme resonates the "The great power, great responsibility" quote and the sacrifice of Peter. Peter realizing the consequences of his actions n responsibility is what was missing from previous MCU movies, this movie just gave us what we needed and made our Peter grow as a character.
