I never found any records about the family situation from the ouija board. So I would agree that it probably was a demon 😅 especially since we did say goodbye when that planchet flew off the board.

The story about the Lalaurie house reminded me of the house where the octoroon woman frozen to death on the roof.
It's now a tea room,with rented room over it. People who rent rooms underground personality changes,from cheerful and positive,to depressed,anxious and hopeless.
The lady is still there,and keeps saying, " I don't undersand", in French,when addressed in English.
One ghost hunting group was in a room,when the door suddenly slammed shut. The psychic began crying,because she felt an evil male spirit,leaving against the door,and glaring through it,at them.
On the video,a woman's voice said " Henri L'oeil Rouge", right before the door slammed shut.
The lady was protecting them from ' Henry Red Eye'.

As an aside, the phrase" my brother' s and I's rock' should have been, ' my brother's and my rock',or, ' my and my brother's rock.'
She wouldn't say , 'my cat was I's rock'.
