In Kenya we're serious about time that's why you see everyone walking in a hurry 😊
I don’t think he missed it because of time, it was an error in his booking. They booked it for tomorrow!
So sorry, lm glad uou took it posivity
Sorry bro, unfortunately for SGR,the date and time you book,is when you travel...it can't be rescheduled to suit you, it's strict but very punctual and safe.
Thank you for watching bro
With sgr alway book earlier and be at the station 2hrs b4 depature just like we do with airport schedules
No worries bro. Try to get to the SGR one hour before departure to avoid the last minute rush. The train always leaves on time. Remember security check and boarding can take 30 minutes to an hour so if your train leaves at 6:00 you must be at the station at 5:00, because right at 6 am the doors are shut and the train departs. They cannot waste a second as it throws the entire rail schedule into disarray. Remember this train has scheduled stops as well as passengers in Mombasa waiting for it to board. It needs to be cleaned before boarding as well as interchanges which happen along route with the cargo trains at specific schedules.
It may appear harsh or inflexible however on a single rail SGR it must work like clockwork to avoid a collapse of the scheduling system.
Tomorrow is your day!!
All the best bro.
Well said, I like your wisdom and explanation. Thanks
Thanks for the info but I didn't miss the train because of time, I started the journey at 5am if you watched the Start of the video. The only issue was a mistake in the booking
Oh! I know that feeling, I always miss my trains but luckily here in Sweden you can just catch the next one without buying another ticket but then the problem comes if you have connect train(s) a long the way, it can get very stressful. We are waiting for the Mombasa videos👌
Woow!
I have travelled in the old metre gauge railway from Mombasa to kasese .
Woow
Im in the Netherlands and if a train is to leave at 2:30, bro it will leave at 2:30 it doesn’t matter if ur at the station or not, thank u Kenya for this development
The train from Nairobi to kisumu goes one time a week. (Friday) the train from Nairobi to Mombasa goes 3 times a day. The train from Nairobi to Nanyuki goes two times a week Tuesday and Friday.
Great info
Karibu Mombasa, kuingia ni harusi kutoka ni matanga.
Shaambiwa
In Kenya people are serious with time and when you are doing money transactions many things are cashless
That's right
Hi UG CONNECT!
Sorry about your missed, trip on the train.
I think you should polish up,your time keeping, and knowing the procedure before hand.
I remember you also missed your flight to Nairobi from Entebbe .
I didn't miss it because of time, It's clear I started this journey at 5 am in the morning if you watch the vlog keenly. We just made a mistake while booking.
About missing my flight at Entebbe, Still I was on time but security detained and delayed me.
@Ug Connect. I liked your calmness in the situation when you missed the train.
Yeah sometimes you need to relax
Hi UgC. I am sorry for what you went through. I am a great fan of Madaraka express but since they stopped cash booking I do it myself so that I am sure of the date. Get to the terminus 2 hours early if you want to be safe from disappointments.
Never tell them "twende chap chap" They may end up causing an accident by driving carelessly. The Boda guy was so honest though.
Thanks for the caution
Bruh! that's the worst feeling. Hope you caught the one the next day. I'll be experiencing some of that hustle in the coming weeks.
Thanks for watching bro
The last minute booking looked chaotic .😅 No biggie though. tomorrow is another day. Kindly note there are also 2 pm and 10pm trains as well. Just make sure you arrive at SGR at least one hour in advance.
Thank you for the advice
Sorry about the missed travel. The SGR is however more punctual than the airport. Just be there 2 hours before time to get your affairs in order then laze around the station. It will save you a lot of stress
Thank you for the advice
Amazing video brother. Keep it up bro
You're welcome
SGR is one project that teaches Kenyans and other fellow African brothers and sisters to keep time and avoid doing things at the last minutes..sorry bro kesho pia ni siku
That's right
Verry sorry. it has ever happened to me before. i was travelling to mombasa in the afternoon . so i accidentally booked mombasa to nairobi instead of nairobi to mombasa. i had no choice but to travel by shuttle
Ooh sorry

Sorry for missing the train bro, watching from the UK
It's okay my dear
The customer care should hav handled that better, although it is also understandable since it was a last minute rush. You will get there
Sorry to hear that you missed your trip to Mombasa.
No worries bro
I can see that you are learning lots of swahili. Btw SGR is just the railway. The train itself is Madaraka Express. Did you finally get your passport back?
Thanks for the clarification
Sorry Lawrence. It’s okay even if you travel tomorrow. These things happen, we all go through them. I’ve experienced some of them in the airport and I missed two flights. I cried the whole night! 😢
It's okay dear
sorry
Actually the system automatically locks you out if you book 10mins to trip. SGR is very punctual n strict. Be there in time
Woow!
Normally for flights and long distance travel, I give myself 2 hour’s advance arrival for hiccups etc. I avoid giving myself short times to avoid rush situations. Even for intercity travel e.g London to Any other city, I arrive at the train station 60 mins early.
Me too I'm always on time, We just made a mistake in booking
Safe travels bro am in malindi Kenya
Thank you
Oh no, not again, missing your train this time. Last minute rush. Try to get there earlier to be more organised.

This video and last video I saw you did some forex and local cashless payments; were there any cryptocurrency options? You have a vlog on physical gold mining , you should produce a video on “digital gold” a.k.a Bitcoin in Uganda.
I'll try my best

I think what you did was deposit the money in your mpesa account, so what you had to do was send the money in your mpesa to the madaraka xpress account through your mpesa which is quick and that madam should have been able to assist you do !! It was the mistake of the ticket lady not yours!!
Yeah I realized that later but it's all fine
