Any personal experiences that anyone would like to share??? These type of comments help remind me of stuff that’s worthy of discussing. ❤🙏🏾 If so, please share. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing your experience. It feels so good to finally see people coming out and to have platforms like UA-cam for former JWs to tell their story. For so long we were in the dark and alone, but it’s nice to know now there are others who have escaped and woken up!
@teendazegirl Thank you 🙏🏾. I truly appreciate your comment. I hope you all are well? Yes, I am going to share my story and I accept all the criticism that comes with it. Part 2 will be posted in a few days.
I would like to preface my comments by stating that I truly enjoyed this first chapter of your story. I appreciated hearing your energy, clarity (verbal and logical), and enthusiasm. You are definitely a well trained speaker who possesses a natural talent for engaging communication. I see a very bright future ahead for you! I look forward to listening to your 2nd chapter. Best wishes.
So many teachings of WT are deceptive. One, Armageddon. Armageddon according to scripture is a spiritual warfare in which truth battles and prevails against lies, and blasphemous lies, claimed to be spoken by God. inthenightaflyingscroll.blogspot.com/2022/05/armageddon-what-type-of-warfare.html?m=
@@tayamber2022 You’re welcome and in part 2 I’ll be even more relaxed. It was definitely hard for me to get on UA-cam and share my story but I think it’s very important for everyone to do so, especially if they have the courage to handle unjust criticisms.
@@tayamber2022 Thank you. That’s encouraging and will assist with me being more of myself on my next videos. I am always a little nervous the first time I do something. Also, this is a part of my indoctrination wearing completely off as well because I shouldn’t have reticence with simply sharing my story. I feel so good and like I have reached a higher level of awaking just from sharing parts of my story.
You have those JW public speaking mannerisms on lock! With time you'll lose that distinct cadence and discover your more authentic communication style. Welcome to the real life! Thank you for sharing your story.
@AnaN-bc8ed thank you and I’m just being intellectually honest and the criticism that comes with speaking objectively and obvious truths that are easily proven if one simply applies Proverbs 18:17.
Thank you Isaac for sharing your experience. Excellent teaching technique about how the mind works. It personally helps me understand my own struggles with the Org ; AKA Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.

Thank you for sharing your story. I recognized many parallels with my own journey in and out of the organization. Sorry about your brother. Even more sorry about the Witnesses' behavior surrounding his death - sorry, but not surprised. I appreciate how you ended this installment: "Never should belief become more important than truth."
@box-botkids3267 Thank you so much for you heartfelt reply. You definitely give sincere condolences and I don’t judge people because I am no better than anymore else but we have to call a spade a spade at times. 🙏🏾
Correction: midweek Meeting was an hour and 45minutes, weekend meeting was an hour and 45minutes, and the book study was an hour when JW’s had three meetings a week at that time when I was a teenager.
@ I enjoyed being a JW for the most part because most of the people are kind but there’s a difference between kindness and love and what’s actually true versus what one emotionally wants/needs to be true. I’m glad you seem to have found peace. If the doctrines are grossly wrong and not of the Bible then I’m out, especially if one is criticizing everyone else and making the bold claim that they alone possess the absolute truth. I definitely follow John 4:24.
@ Hi, how are you? I hope that you are having a splendid day. And I agree with you-some of the time that was monopolized, was used in a good way to help people in need even if “perhaps” the higher-ups actively know they are misleading millions. I still struggle with whether the GB is sincerely misguided themselves or if they holistically know what they are doing and they just don’t care! 🤷🏽♂️ Also, I feel that “perhaps” someone “might” be above them if they are purposely misleading people. Anyway, I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt until I have concrete and objective evidence to prove them guilty/wrong. I kind of take the legal court system approach regarding these matters-so it’s not about what one feels or even what one knows to be true but it’s about what one can objectively prove when putting someone or an entity on trial. With that said, there are a plethora of objective things to prove/disprove regarding Watchtower; pros and cons. 😊🙏🏾 @kimmatthews2302
That was my experience too. I was 3rd generation. My Grandmother got baptised in 1950's and my Mum in 1960's. We were told for years that 1975 was when Armageddon would come and in 1972 my parents decided we would move from England to Scotland to "serve where the need was great". I was baptised at 11 and left when I was 36. The main reason I saw sexual abuse ignored and perpetrators allowed to have good standing in congregation (multiple times) and I also disagreed with the constant asking us to fo more in the ministry, donate more etc when most of us hardly had two pennies to rub together. I left in the middle of a meeting after one of those "local needs" begging talks. I never went back and have not missed it for one second, 27 years on. Of course I then did more research and found out how culty it was and how much they gave changed their minds on their beliefs throughout the years. ARC validated my own experience of sexual abuse and the cover up. Congratulations on leaving. Enjoy your life in this veautiful and diverse world we all share.
@ thank you for sharing your experience. Man, it’s amazing how so many of us have the same experiences. Life is so not have I though it was. How are you coping?
Thank you for sharing. Very well done. Glad to hear you still accept The Word of GOD. The organization is the problem for me not the word . Analogical thinking is important to have reasonable. Romans 12 :1,2.
@@ladyangi100 Thank you for sharing your feedback. I will get to why I left in my next few videos. My entire story is why I left but I am giving some back information for context. I am more comfortable now after I got the first one out of the way, so now I can really be myself. 😊
I love this and I love this for you! Keep telling your story. I can see you being the voice for the voiceless. This is good for us that has been indictrnated from birth. @healingwithcheryl I am happy that you followed your conscience that’s properly trained. Also, I am just being spiritually and intellectually honest. The decision I am making now is the decision I would have made if the organization was transparent with the doctrines and teachings that I didn’t even know about. I came into something without a full informed consent as a child. I definitely have found the true God of the Bible myself and I love God more than I ever have before. Thank you for your compliments too.
I was a born in JW. I left 7 years ago. I remember being told that there's nothingthut there in the world. And if you leave you will find nothing but trouble. @jenniferconley9591 Hi, thanks for the compliment. And wow, you left a long time ago. How does it feel and how did it feel? I hope you and your family are very well?
When I left I spent years feeling guilt for leaving Jehovah. Around 2010 I started questioning everything I ever been taught to never question.and started digging in and doing my research about the organization and found out about all the corruption they were trying to hide . I’m so glad there’s so many people like yourself that has woken up and left that nasty mess of a cult . As far as my son, I raised him to figure out his spiritual beliefs on his own without me ramming god or the Bible down his throat . Thank you so much for putting out this video… New subscriber here and happy thanksgiving.

Hello and thank you for sharing your story. I am an exJW since 2011 (grew up in the religion with parents who joined in the 70s) and your story can help MILLIONS. My condolences about your brother. Watchtower has destroyed so many families and ruined lives and robbed us of so many HUMAN experieces - grief, joy and on & on -to the point of no return! Thank God you are free of that cult and religious bondage! Looking forward to part two!

@Beautyrest575 Thank you for sharing a little bit of your experience. Time may not fully heal all wounds but perhaps pain can also serve as a reminder of your integrity and courage. @ You’re welcome and you have to do what is best for you but God revealed a different path for me. Ephesians 4:11 and I heard the call and I am obeying but my obedience comes with a great cost, that I took a year-and-a-half to prepare myself for. Matthew chapter 10. @Beautyrest575
I got a flashback when you mentioned you went to the meeting on the night you saw your brother had died. On the day my grandmother died, I was notified and although I loved her very much and she was not a JW, I remember not being too sad because I thought she had paid the price of sin and now would have the hope of resurrection. I was assigned to lead a talk with another “sister” that same evening I found she died and my talk was about what happens when we die. How it’s like sleeping without dreaming. No worries and no more working, etc. I too was congratulated for having kept my assignment when they knew I had a death in the family. Now I feel sad because I didn’t mourn her. I still feel like I don’t know how to feel when loved ones die. They messed me up like that.
@@IamEpicHill Hi and I couldn’t agree with you more. It does seem to impact human morality, demoralizing the “now-of-death” by focusing too much on the hope of life in the future. Nothing is wrong with hope but it should never cause us to be unsafe of self-awareness regarding natural affection.
The ARC was something else, huh? And I’m glad that you are thinking well and displaying warmth through your comments. How are you? I love Jehovah’s Witnesses and I enjoyed being a witness from 15-26 but even then there were things that didn’t line up with the Bible. I follow God and not men.
@@JustWakeUp2704yes indeed, men in whom there is no salvation. The governing modern day Pharisees body usurp Christ Jesus position. I was in almost 30 years until the spring of 2021. I wasn’t raised in the religion either. I thank our Heavenly Father daily for waking me and my family up.
The organization took out the part about it being Gods Spirit directed organization. Why did they take that part out? Because the Jehovah’s Witnesses organization is NOT directed by God’s Holy Spirit.
In listening to you talk, can you see that you like many others lost a lot of your childhood? Children are taught to be disciples from an early age. That is part of the indoctrination. I was treated that way and sadly tried to raise my children that way. I realized, even before my ex husband committed adultry, we were feeling so choked out. Very little fun things can be fun, because you would be worldly. I was so torn inside, but still applied myself to be the perfect elders wife and we must look like a perfect little family. Long story short , my children was so glad when their dad left and we got to do some fun things. They were confused, but I let them have a small circle of friends, recreation, pageants, sports, but all within the realm of my parenting. My exhusband was a speaker at the assemblies and very involved in talks and judicial committee's. Yet, he left to be with a wordly married woman. I knew something was wrong with this religion. Dont get me wrong, with all the emphasis on Bible study and preperation for meetings, your Biblical knowledge speaking are enhanced. I still appreciate the knowledge you did gain. It helped me to reason on my own. I am very close to the Most High God, Jehovah until this day. I pray daily and I see my prayers answered. I know in my heart, God knows my heart and he will be my judge. Sadly, the shunning is so inappropriate. My seventy nine year old mother has been took care of by me for the last four years, because she quit going to meetings too. My sister shuns her responsibilities to her mother, but she is an accepted witness. Just sad. My mother misses her grandchildren so bad.
@@angelawhitfield7498 thank you so much for taking the time to write me and share a snippet of your story. I read every word and it breaks my heart that your freedom came with such a high cost. Hi Isaac Miller, this is your auntie Janice reaching out to you with lots of love as always for my family. I really understand your video and also the parts that you were bringing out. They also are very true the things you experienced. But I want you to know that you love Jehovah and his son Jesus Christ very very much. You're basically speaking on how things was presented to you. You are not saying Jehovah and his son Jesus it's not the truth some people May listen to the video and not have the right understanding on what you're saying let me repeat that I said some people not all. But the main thing I want to say to you nephew you are not leaving Jehovah and his son Jesus because you know he died for us and you never said that in your comment. Statement said that you were leaving the organization at this time. And as for Travis Miller, my nephew and your brother we will see him in the new system cuz remember Jehovah read our hearts and he's the only one can pass judgment not mankind. JW = JESUS WITNESSES Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere-in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
I can say the 1975 end times prophecy was prevalent. As a kid I heard it. Many grew up being told the end was imminent. My mom was Pentecostal and my dad raised JW. They married out of necessity. My JW grandmother was active witnessing. Never said a good word about my Pentecostal grandmother. Always provoked tension between mom and dad. Looking back, I think she maybe wanted to break them up. Always had Watchtowers. She had the reputation when door knocking, if the person didn't answer she would look in the windows, see if they were hiding. Then stick a Watchtower in their door. Conversely, my Pentecostal grandma never said a bad word about my other grandma. Always had a big bible on the living room table. She read it a lot. Her husband had died long before in a car accident and she never remarried. She always said, she was already married to him. At age 15 a JW couple went through the truth book with our family in our home. They literally ridiculed the trinity, ridiculed the concept that the Holy Spirit was a person etc. Mocked Christians that believe Jesus died on a cross saying it was really a tree. Which wouldn't change Jesus' sacrifice either way in the least. I had a chance to go to West Point, my father said no. An Army officer came from West Point to see me at my rural High School based on testing. I was a senior but still 17, and I didn't want to go against my dad on it. I did later go away to a college 500 miles from home. Didn't know anyone there, my dad encouraged me to go to the Kingdom Hall. Went about 5 times, an elder there said to me, be sure to come next Sunday bc the district overseer will be here. So, I did. The district overseer met me at the end of the service and wanted to talk. He mostly questioned me why I was there. I said my dad encouraged me. He found out I had completed the truth book. Then asked, what was I doing associating with Jehovah's people, because if I knew the truth, then I should be baptized. That he needed to protect the congregation from people who knew the truth but weren't completely following it. Then he went on to say that I shouldn't be going to college. I should be getting baptized and witnessing because the end will probably come before I graduate. I was astute enough to realize the elder wanted me there that specific day because he wanted the overseer to talk to me. So, in a way, I was disfellowshipped without being baptized. I never went back because I felt neither trusted nor welcome there. This was in 1981. Looking back, it was a blessing. All I can say is read God's word and not pamphlets and magazines. Ask for understanding, and the Holy Spirit helper will guide you.
@@rogerelder1196 I truly appreciate you sharing your experience and I read every word. Wow, you were treated like that and you weren’t even baptized, that’s crazy. I wish you many blessings and prosperity in life.
@@JustWakeUp2704 I appreciate it. I appreciate your story. I never said mine publicly, but hearing yours, I felt it was a good time. It was just maybe a year ago that I told my dad why I never went back to the KH. He left for Central America to be a full-time KH pioneer long ago. My sons are 27 and 29 and have met their grandpa maybe 4 times in their entire lifetimes. I don't see this as any kind of formal shunning, but rather that the church became his life pursuit and family. Most JW's I have met are mostly nice people. From the inside, they mostly can't see the control. Or even if they do, they don't want to lose their families by becoming apostate. I can't think of anything good to say about the organization, so I won't say anything about it. I recently took early retirement and am in study and training to be a deliverance minister.

Wow everything you’ve said is so relatable to my experience and my family… I was raised JW. My grandmother fell for what she believed was “the truth” she shunned her kids who were disfellowshipped. @wantingtolearn2732 Hi, I have never heard that before about the covenant. I’ll look into it to see what you are referencing? Any books, etc that you suggest?
@@JustWakeUp2704 the thing that really helped me to start with was being shown the context of the book of Revelation. Revelation 1:1-4 shows that it was written to the seven congregations in Asia, and was about things soon to take place. The book also closes with the same thought, that it was soon to come and so not to seal up the book. Revelation 22:6,7,10-12 compare with Daniel 12:9. Matthew 24; Mark 13 and Luke 21 are all about the destruction of the Temple and end of the old covenant. John's gospel does not contain those details, but is expressed in Revelation instead.

Should you leave? The answer is simple: It depends. It depends if you like to live in a lie (ALL human cults are) or not, and the consequences of your decision. To me jw cult stole about 25 years of my life. My family never shunned me because I never baptized despite the preassure to do it (if I did all would be different for sure, which shows how ridiculous the doctrine is). From the moment you track abrahamic cults and their origins (zoroastrianism) there is no turning back. I my case I always had doubts about the "truth" since a child... If "god" is perfect and can forsee the future, why did he created the "devil"? It makes zero sense. Latter in life I stumbled upon the archeological EVIDENCE (not "faith") that humanity is faaaaaaaaaar older than we are told. Hug from Portugal.

Did the angel speak to Moses on Mount Sinai? Was the angel the prophet Moses foreshadowed that Acts 7 mentioned? (When has an angel ever been referred to as a prophet?) The role of the angel in Exodus 3 is clear. Was Moses speaking to God or the angel? (The role of the angel is clear in Exodus chapter 3 as well.) Correction: midweek Meeting was an hour and 45minutes, weekend meeting was an hour and 45minutes, and the book study was an hour when JW’s had three meetings a week at that time when I was a teenager.
They love to monopolize folks time😒
@ Hi, how are you?

@@rocker1889 hi and thank you. How are you and your family? And I will upload part 2 on Thursday or Friday. Even more developments have happened since I posted my first video. The trauma from leaving something like this is beyond true articulation unless you have been through it or something similar.
@grammargoddessNYC thank you for sharing your experiences. I’m happy for you and yes I am free. It was a tough decision but I had to make it. And I hope that God uses whatever I have to help others.
Thanks for your story! Very interesting, I got baptized in 1970 in Germany and woke up after 50 years. It wasn’t easy, loosing my social network. Anyway look I forward to part two!
@Beautyrest575 Thank you for sharing a little bit of your experience. Time may not fully heal all wounds but perhaps pain can also serve as a reminder of your integrity and courage. Your pain is a reminder that you chose righteousness over comfort. I am encouraged by you and you are a good person for that alone.
Stay blessed,

@ thank you Isaac, I’m still pimo, long story😃
Good experience. I walked away from J W land in 2019 after 40 years with just doing deep research and the Royal Australian commission scandal.
The ARC was something else, huh? And I’m glad that you are thinking well and displaying warmth through your comments. How are you? I love Jehovah’s Witnesses and I enjoyed being a witness from 15-26 but even then there were things that didn’t line up with the Bible. I follow God and not men.

@@sarahpfeuffer1396 hi, how are you? Thank you for listening. 🙏🏾
Reading the Bible is another reason why I left. It’s the Bible that fully woke me up from my indoctrination amongst a number of other things. The Holy Spirit is very powerful like you mentioned.

My aunt did the same and other relatives have been shunned since age 15 for things like playing sports. I experienced inappropriateness from witnessed to where I struggled with intimacy as an adult. I’m the black sheep in the family relating to JW truth… I went to counseling I researched the origin of the religion and I’ve been on a healing journey ever since… I feel confident knowing what Christ was asking of us in the book of John… most important lesson is to have Jesus and to love… I show all my JW relatives love as I do with anyone but tbh my experience as a JW caused life to be more anxious and mentally exhausting living in fear… iykyk… my gma died in Aug sadly during her illness of over 5 yrs she may have had a couple of visits from a couple of people but truthfully they did not show up… that’s ok she did what she thought was best but honestly bc of it our family has held on to shunning and are very fearful of enjoying of learning more abt Gods word but I know God is in control ❤

This was really easy to listen to and fluent. I'm jumping ahead here, but I have a feeling with your desire to reason, you have found out that Armageddon and Babylon the great were spiritual references to old covenant Israel.
@ Okay, I can’t wait to dive into this. I love to learn and analyze things so thank you so much for this.
@@JustWakeUp2704 another detail that will help with the time of writing of Revelation is that it tells us that five had fallen
1. Julius Caesar
2. Augustus Caesar (Luke 2:1)
3. Tiberius Caesar (3:1)
4. Gaius Caesar
5. Claudius Caesar (Acts 18:2)
One was 6. Nero Caesar (Acts 25:12)
And one to come 7. Vespasian Caesar
Revelation 17:10
Hence, it all happened within that generation. Matthew 24:34 compare with Matthew 16:27,28.
@@wantingtolearn2732 wow, I have never ever heard of this. My frame of reference would have been with the world powers that I learn through watchtower when Revelation 17:4 is referenced. I definitely have to look heavily into this and trust me I will. I can’t wait.

Thanks for your reply and exegesis is just what it means and nothing more. Everyone has to also ask themselves are they guilty of having their ears so-called tickled as well.
@JustWakeUp2704 it is about proving what is written not trying to rationalize something when it actually applies today
@ yes, I agree with you that exegesis is for that and that’s why I mentioned it.
You definitely still speak like you’re giving a public talk 😂

Sorry about your brother. Jesus did not come to condemn neither do his slaves have that authority.
Thank you @bretherenlee1404 and I appreciate you.
@ bretherenlee1404 thank you so much.
@JustWakeUp2704 it is true , I think mentioned this, that watchtower baptism is out of harmony with Matthew 28:19-20
Glad you left "the worst life ever" whilst you are still young. Enjoy the refreshment and light load Jesus promised his followers. Unfortunately, jws are worshipping 11 false prophets and fearfully obeying manmade rules
@donnyetta Yes, I couldn’t agree with you more; Deuteronomy 18:20-22. And I hope you are well and my experiences with JW’s weren’t all bad. I simply had to disassociate after I realized it’s not God’s organization-and the main teachings that are unique to them aren’t based on the Bible.
And yes, my life is good as of now despite being shunned.
@@JustWakeUp2704 Thank you - I am well mentally since leaving by letter in January. Before that I had suicidal depression for 30 years in the jws. The constant guilt trip they send members on destroys the soul.
@ aww, I am so happy for you and I hope that you can heal, hopefully fully. Keep on helping others and try to focus on the good as much as you can. You are to be commended for escaping while still pushing forward with positivity.

@josiasguiomar2504 thank for your reply and I will definitely look at the things you mentioned. I will finish highlighting things in my story over the next few videos. I am happy you are well and that you haven’t loss your family and friends like I have for making a conscientious decision.

One more ‘ME TOO’ 🤦♂️
Thank you and what do you mean by “ME TOO”?
Less than 5 mins in and it's Q and A JW style......answering ur own questions, defining words, word salad this sounds way too much like a meandering Sunday talk. From the comments and the posters reaction it seems like he doesn't even answer the question of the video title or wants to answer people directly...... it's giving POMI 😅
@@supaexcellence thank you for your feedback. POMO all the way; I disassociated. I am telling my story and in the next few videos I will continue with why I left. Your comments are welcome, keep the insight coming until my next video.
@JustWakeUp2704 Thanks for your polite response and glad you are fully out. I think alot of ex high control religion members have a radar that is on high alert for feeling/being misled hence the comments about it feeling a bit clickbait like to call a video "why I left" and not divulge the whole story/reason as opposed to "context as to why I left".....
@@supaexcellence It’s only, I’m not trying to do anything nefarious. This is all new to me and it took a lot of courage just to share part one. lol that was the intent, I’m glad you caught that, just joking. I have a sense of humor but everything I said was true too.
Seems like most of these videos on this topic the folks are so long-winded.
@markeyosef1579 Happy 2025 to you and your family. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. @@shawnmcanthony5724 Firstly, it’s John 14:6 my friend regarding where to go.
I love Jehovah’s Witnesses and I am not mad at any of the rank-and-file. In fact, I wish everyone love and I know that people are just doing their best, the rank-and-file that is. Here’s something to ponder: You wouldn’t buy a car if someone told you, you couldn’t look under the hood nor would you hire someone that said you can’t do a background check on them. I invite you to ask if you can read the literature from 1876-2024 (you should be able to but you will be disappointed to find out that you can’t look under the hood)-and watch what happens to you.
2Thessalonians 2:10 is what happens when people refuse to apply 1John 4:1-3; Acts 17:11, Matthew 7:15-23; John 4:24; John 14:6. Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts. With love I say this: I know everything you know and I know everything you don’t know. If you really want the answers to the questions you pose, because I have searched for and answered all of the logical fallacies you postulate; and I say that with respect because I know that you truly believe that I am taking a false step. But I invite you to discuss your reasoning with me on this channel live or you can email me (isaacfittherapy@gmail.com)
Proverbs 18:13,17. Psalms 118:8-10. Please don’t assume that I wasn’t thorough with my decision. I have answers to all of your claims and I am not here to shame anyone but I can defend my beliefs openly and without restraint but you can’t and you would get into trouble just by being on this channel. So email me and we can chat verbally if you want to-no pressure. Also, remember that the preaching work is a form of activism since the underlying message is that everyone must get out of Babylon The Great, since all other religions are false except Jehovah’s Witnesses. Also Read Acts 7:29-39 and then Exodus 3:1-7 and tell me who you see is revealed as God in those verses? Read it at least ten times and then ask Jehovah’s Holy Spirit to reveal to you whom is revealed as the person in Acts 7:29-39, asking God if it is the same person in Exodus 3:1-7 that’s mentioned in Acts 7:29-39, and who is Acts discussing? @@yahuhallah1259I didn’t say what the scriptures meant but you obviously are, which is fine because you are entitled to your opinion. However, I am only leaning toward nothing but what the Bible teaches and what can be objectively verified.
Did the angel that you claim spoke on God’s behalf give Moses the tablets on Mount Sinai? Did the angel speak to Moses on Mount Sinai? Was the angel the prophet Moses foreshadowed that Acts 7 mentioned? (When has an angel ever been referred to as a prophet?) The role of the angel in Exodus 3 is clear. Was Moses speaking to God or the angel? (The role of the angel is clear in Exodus chapter 3 as well.) If you truly believe he spoke to an angel then it was an angel saying my name is I am or I cause to become when Moses asked God what his name was.
