  • sooo much altitude.... 1900m, 4h hike, midday... perfect conditions for a long glidy flight! Plan A was to follow and make a nice video of Bruno. But it's always good to have a plan B. What a flight👌
    At the end I got pretty confused, I didn´t know what to do with all the altitude... I turned too early and made a skydive out it... pulled super high... super safe, super nice flight ... doesn´t always need to be the best flight ;)

    These videos are so amazing to watch. It would be cool if you put in the video description section more information about each location. The name of the mountain or feature, the town you're diving towards, country you're in, altitude at jump point, approximate distance to landing point. I'm sure people would even be interested in your gear (chutes, cameras, etc) and with affiliate links you could make some extra bucks. Not trying to be nosy, just a thought, but keep making awesome videos!

    I’ve watched these guys landing there in the Lauterbrunnen valley. Beautiful setting and the cable car ride up to Muerren from here is pretty damn amazing too with views of the Eiger.

    I stayed at the camping at Stechelberg and was each morning suprised by the sudden opening chutes seamingly out of nowhere. Sometimes saw the wingsuit but only 5-10 seconds before opening. Wonderful to see the environment from this perspective and amazing how far you guys travel!

    Question from a non expert - do you need study in advance the exact trajectory you wish to take or there is a degree of "improvisation" in these kinds of flights? Thank you for your amazing videos.

    • @kreterakete
      @kreterakete 2 роки тому +1

      Yes them do study the relief and stuff. If flying from one exit more often there is development in variation if they get used to the shape of the path. Nobody would climb free solo without climbing it with rope more then once before.

    • @DomeWingsuit
      @DomeWingsuit  2 роки тому

      I think it´s both. Yes, you need to study and learn a lot (especially wingsuitflying, but also knowing/reading terrain and atmosphere, isohypses, pressure, wind, sun, thermals, etc.) But also yes, there is improvisation at every point (of the flight and evolution in general) because it´s impossible to know in advance and manipulate every variable influencing you on your way ;)
      I guess this is how learning and improving works. Get all the existing knowledge... it´s a lot! But allow some room for improvisation (and own ideas).

    • @paolo534
      @paolo534 2 роки тому

      @@DomeWingsuit
      Great answer.
      In relation on your note on learning - another key aspect of learning is to assess one’s mistake and react to improve what one does at the next opportunity. This typically also applies to sports, although those involving risks imply additional considerations.
      PS
      Just for clarity, I know nothing about wingsuit flights. Sometimes in the evening I browse videos of alpine climbs (something I used to do a lot when I was younger) and bumped into your channel (attraverso il pesce). I got intrigued by the extraordinary mental and physical demand, and technical complexity your sport must involve, as well as the beauty of the gesture.

    • @DomeWingsuit
      @DomeWingsuit  2 роки тому

      @@paolo534 ah! That's so cool! Yah, some years ago I was a decent climber, but now I just fly😆
      Climbing is way more physical and also mental, at least in alpine environment. Oh, how do I miss the thrill of a 7m runout...
