Wow! That pedal sounds awesome! I want one now.🙂👍
I've had one for about 6 months, it's very good. I don't think the clean channel has too much use as it doesn't really do too much tone shaping but I honestly love the drive channel so much. I sold my DG B7K as I preferred the drive on this. Only slight downsides is that you can get quite a bit of hiss from the drive due to its analogue nature but it's only a small downside.
I only noticed his when the tone was cranked, which is probably not where most people would set it. Either way, I was impressed.
@@TheBassChannel the controls are a little weird as the ‘tone’ and ‘mids’ only cut, they don’t boost. As you said the hissing is mainly when the tone is all the way up which is where I have it but even so it’s not a massive issue. Can’t notice it in a mix!
Hey mate. You might be able to help. I have a darkglass x7 that U run a Spector ns ethos through. Aguilar's.
I like the Darkglass but do you think this skarbass is as good/ better or just different?
@@liamjenkins82 sorry for late reply! I personally like the SkarBassOne more than I liked the B3K or B7K for the simple reason the SK1 keeps the low end clean. I haven’t used the DG X series but it’s closer to that but with some better features like a comp. I’d get the SK1 if you want it up front at the start of your chain as you can’t bypass it.
@@broomwinkle to be fair I only have three pedals. Tuner. Compressor. X7. I would leave the x7 at the end for the XLR output. And swap the sk for the compressor. Hoping it pairs not to badly with the x7. We shall see. I ordered one yesterday.
No need for apologies. Life's to lead.
Thanks
So, he said that the effect is always on when the pedal is on bypass? I didn't understand this quite well. Any chance the reviewer didn't understand what's going on and he meant it was a buffered bypass?
Sounds cool 😎
Great video !!!!
Hello -
Currently I’m using 5 pedals .
1- Chromatic tuner
2- Compressor
3- pre amp
4- overdrive
5- chorus .
All by Ampeg ( except the tuner ).
I’m really liking the sound I’m getting out of my Fender Rumble 500 combo .
I call it a “ FenPeg “ .
Play clean ?
It’s all Fender .
Couple clicks on the stomp box ?
Ampeg SVT .
Ok - so I’m pretty set .
But there is always room for improvement, right ??
I’m serious about purchasing this pedal .
Question :
If I add to the chain , would I even need to use the other pedals ????
Would I still need the Compressor?
The pre amp ?
The Drive ?
What about the chorus ??
As I sit here , I’m thinking that I would only need to keep the tuner and the chorus .
So my new chain would be :
1- Tuner
2- SKAR
3- Chorus .
( unless there is a chorus setting on the SKAR )?????
Thanks for your help .
Side note -
I’m very new at using pedals .
I always just went from bass guitar to amp .
Done ✅
But since I couldn’t afford to go all Ampeg SVT , the Fender Rumble 500 was quite reasonable.
I did add one 210 Fender cab but I have not been able to use yet .
The bars we play are just too small for that entire rig .
Waiting to use at a bigger venue .
Like Wembley haha 😂
As a player who uses the darkglass x7 pedal i really cant decide if this is a need or a want kind of pedal....
Would have liked to hear it with a Fender style bass.. Some nearly everyone has available .. This demo missed the mark bigly..
What a great comment. Very helpful. You should email them about a job.
@@TheCubicleReview2 Nah.. I'm too busy these days. I'm Not into the always metal thing they seem to gravitate towards . But thanks for being nosey and chiming in.
@@Therealchuckbailey OK Whiner fanboi... Yeah just disregard the millions of people that play a Fender style bass that may want to hear what its could sound like. Instead play a knock off Tbird.. Not so smart... azzkissing green
fanboi
@@Therealchuckbailey How about accepting constructive criticism to help your channel grow. But no. . Instead you get all girlyboy, defensive and obfuscate and run away from the topic.. WEAK.
The dirty tones on this thing are phenomenal, idk if I’d get rid of my Tech 21 dp3x for it though
