george actually decided to leave because he did not want to be straight in the show he wanted to be himself and play a gay character and shonda refused so he decided to leave
@@jazmingutierrez613 that’s not it you lying, he left because Isiah Durke’s character called him an offensive word and he saw that Shonda wasn’t going anywhere with his character it was like a miserable circle he left, check his interviews please, remember before he left Izzy forgot about him, he cheated on Callie the season before, Lexie left him, he was just there he didn’t like that, so he asked to leave stop with the false narrative.
Honestly, after George left, the show just wasn’t worth watching anymore for me. I tried, I got as far as I could but it just was never the same, never good enough to watch without his character. He gave the show so much heart.
I agree, George brought so much light and heart into the show. And now with him being killed off it’s slowly lost what made it feel so special. I do think that it was a pretty good show up until Christina left.I still watch the show and I’ll probably watch it until the very end. But I do think that’s it should’ve ended a long time ago. I’ve always said Greys lost what made it so special once Lexie and Mark died and then Christina left. Honestly it probably should’ve ended when Christina left or when Derek died.
I watched it because of April and because April reminded me of George and how she got pushed around and also how her character grew after the army and I like to think that she was the female version of him and that George whole have grown but the show really got trash after they made Steph a season 9 intern leave(in he finale of season 13) then the only people that go better were mer and jo another season 9 intern also another sis of mer's Maggie but that is really who I am watching it for now
I was the same way I couldn’t watch after he died but about a month later I watched it again and I finished it, seeing George in season 17 made me cry and I realized how bad the show got after he died and I wish he never did the greys anatomy would have been worth watching
Everytime Bailey remembers George 😊 I just get so emotional and then she did to Amelia what O'Malley did for her when she was giving birth 😭💔 That literally broke my heart. They should've just sent him to the army, not kill him before he could go there.
Everybody thinks it’s Christine & Meredith’s relationship that the biggest but can’t touch Bailey & George’s as wow they went through more & thanks for doing :)
The moment they started to just forget about George in the show was the moment I began to lose faith in the entire production. You can keep going after that and have great moments and great highs - but to lose sight of the purpose of such a great character just shows that you don't entirely get loyalty to your characters at all - and that was proven in time
There are very few characters on TV that when they died, made me cry. He played this character so well. When he helped Bailey with the birth and you could see when she was crushing his hand he just dealt with it. It was a funny part but showed the connection and compassion he had for her. A fitting send off with him giving his organs to save many others
Everybody loves George, even Bailey I remember Sloan asked what George has that all these women fall for her It's his heart and soul The guy is a good soul
I loved their relationship! And the way he took care of Bailey when she was in labor…George was a sweetheart and he loved his Dr. Bailey. As tough as Bailey would act, she always held George dear. ☺️
December 18, 2020 - I love this... Indeed, George O'Malley was Bailey's favorite. It was nice to have him Bailey, Meredith and Richard all standing on the beach together, which showed us, Meredith, Bailey and Richard are the last remaining original cast members on the show.
I remember watching the scene where Bailey tells Meredith about George and how he was her favourite and starting to cry like crazy. It was so touching.
I feel like instead of killing him off they could’ve made him leave off to war after the accident and just let him be so he can make appearance here and there. Like he was already leaving to be a trauma surgeon he had an exit already so why killed them. Like Mark he didn’t have to die either he could’ve moved back to New York. Then when Callie left to go there with penny they could’ve been altogether
I agree with the George part. But I feel like Mark died because he was so heartbroken over Lexie’s death. It’s like he said to Arizona when they were still in the woods, “Lexie’s waiting for me”. I feel like if Lexie hadn’t died, Mark would’ve gotten better. But he had no will to live anymore and I feel like that’s the real reason he never got better.
@@lydiamartin269 I am not sure about that. He loved Lexie with all his heart but I dont feel like he wouldve given up because of how much he loved his Sofia. That baby was his world. He was such a good dad. And Callie would have never cut him out of Sofias life. His death broke my heart. He came such a long way from when he was first introduced. Why couldnt they have just sent him back to NY instead of killing him off.
@@lydiamartin269 I love Lexie but I feel we're giving her way too much credit. Mark left because he couldn't stay anymore. Sophia was the reason he held on. He LIVED for that girl even though he knew her for a few months.
I read somewhere thay shonda wanted mark to go to private practice show but the actor playing mark didn't want to because according to him mark without lexie didn't make sense or something like that . I am not sure though
Shonda's biggest and disgustest mistake was killing O'Malley. I stopped watching there. He had so much more to give. Oh and this show needs to end. Jesus.....
I agree. O’Malley deserved so much better. They could’ve had him leave to join the army like he was supposed to and then have him come back a season or two later. I’ve always said that if they were gonna write off Izzie’s character that they should’ve just killed her instead of George. I rewatch Greys a lot but I’m gonna be honest once they killed off Mark, Lexie, George, and then had Christina leave it lost what made it so special. Yes their are new characters on the show that I love like Jo. And as much as I love and adore the show I feel like they need to just end it soon. Every character that made the show so special has either died or left, like Alex, April, Arizona, and Callie. They bring in new characters and I feel like they are doing that for the wrong reasons. Like with Maggie, I feel like they just brought her in because they realized that it was a mistake to kill of Lexie so they brought her in to somehow try and replace the sister dynamic of Meredith and Lexie. Which they failed at miserably. The show also used to have a lot of humor in it and now it doesn’t.
@@lydiamartin269 I make your words mine. I think Shonda is a genious, but she lost it when it comes to balance. And the show is on because it brings money. People watch it. But where's the dignity? They are gonna stract until the last drop of money out of it until an ending. Sad!
George and Bailey still ARE my favorites who interact on greys. I know it’s weird but watching them together feels like a warm security blanket wrapped around you and all feels right.
George was the most amazing character in Grey's Anatomy. The most compassionate, caring, pure, lovable character and yet, I hate the times when they made him look like the bad one. I wish he had never died, I wish he had met April, I wish he had worn his attending's scrubs and I wish he hadn't had to go through so much only to die in the end. He really deserved more and I still miss him.
George was so pure 🥺 by far the best finale scene they had with the realization it’s George and Izzie being in the elevator and George in uniform on the other side, hinting that it wasn’t Izzie’s time to die but it was for George which is why he hesitated in front of the elevator and didn’t get on. 🥺
In a show full of grey characters, George is the closest Shonda got to a white character, and she killed him. Just like life, always takes the good ones first.
@@Sophie-yx7xr It's the "morality spectrum" characters are put on based on their actions, motivations, and characterization simplest way to put it: grey= mix of good and bad at varying degrees (an example if doing the wrong thing for the right reason), black= all bad, and white= all good. Dr. Bailey the mom of the group. Georgy was just adorable and loveable,he loved Tuck too, hard not to see why Miranda loved him more. Like work mom and son duo, both my favorites. Broke me when O'Malley was killed off💔😭. Glad to see him on the beach.
George was one of the purest characters I could have ever met, totally considering him, we need more men along with that adorable attitude, caring for every tenth of a person. He was my favorite, and will continue to be from here until the end of the series. We need to see him again! As they did to Callie walking the corridors of the hospital, it would be great if they could do the same with the other deceased.
I wasn't expecting to cry today for a character of a show I have never watched...but here I am crying my eyes out in my office. Such a beautiful and heart-wrenching video
As someone who has lost their father, big brother, little brother in motor vehicle accidents and almost died myself in a motorcycle accident... O'malley was the underdog that you couldn't help but to love and cheer for.... His characters death hit me on a different level
This is so beautifully put together. The 2 birthing scenes were so perfect and the fact that you honored Bailey's experience with George when she was giving birth is classic Grey's.
I don't know why I keep coming back to this video when it crushed me and makes me cry like a baby... but it is so beautiful, George was such a great guy and he had the sweetest relationship with Bailey.
this was very emotional and I loved their bond sm, it's so special and George was such a compassionate, kind, awkwardly funny at times and so good hearted charatcter, I wish we got to see him grow as a person and a doctor and they didn't killed him off
Miss him still bad decision to take him off the show best doctor on the show never find a more compassionate doctor put other people before himself a true angel if there ever was one 😔
His death was probably the most impactful character death for me. I was so invested in this show, and even tho he wasn’t my favorite he was such a /good/ human that his death hit me incredibly hard. That whole episode was so tragic. The only other character death that made me cry as much was years later, when Tony Stark died in Endgame.
George was the sweetest: pure in heart and mind... While others trolled for surgeries he offered to baby sit just so Bailey could try to fix her marriage. He was always there for everyone... His death was honorable but painful. Bailey finding out about O'Malley's decision to enlist and berating Owen for it is no more of a Mom than I could think of... George was a good soldier in a storm even without ever being a soldier... He is missed terribly... He was pink and white roses in a black vampire world. In Mer's words he really was the good one...
I’m just now catching it but if you watch George when Bailey says her 5 rules, he smiles at the end of of the one where she says she doesn’t like them. It made me smile because she ends up naming her son after him because he was her favorite and everything he did to help her deliver.
You know I’m still crying over this. You know it’s a good show if they tap into your deep emotions. I loved watching her and O’Malley. He was her child.
This was put together so well. Brought on the tears. I miss George. I was really glad to see him bring George back. He didn't miss a beat. It felt so authentic.

@@rediethaskins9093 I am assuming they are talking about when mr sullivan lighted the cigarete in season 3 episode 4. George is the only one that saw it and tried to stop it but too late.
@Caleb Mayfield Yes he had severe burns to his face but he lived.
If George was alive I know when Miranda lost her baby he would have helped her more than anyone could.
When Bailey hopped behind Amelia as she was giving birth then it flashed back to George hopping behind Bailey when she gave birth, I lost it. I had a full on break down afterwards. Lasted a good 30 minutes
You and me both🤦♀️
I was gonna like but imma keep the likes at 707

Yes, she has Links baby

Im still in denial about his death...i just imagine that hes at war helping wounded soldiers and will come home hugging Bailey

Me too
I had a dream he faked his death. But then his whole character changed and he was violent and irrational. Me and the other characters had to try and calm him down, see what was wrong and try to fix what happened. He ended up changing before my dream ended and it was soo saad
They could just do a scandal greys crossover where Olivia pope helped O'Malley fake his death for some conspiracy
@@the_other_michael2 Brooooo. That would be great. He'd be alive ;-;
When Bailey finally breaks, we all break.
George was a brilliant character.
I miss George with all my heart. They should not have killed him off. He was the best character. The show was amazing with him in it.
george actually decided to leave because he did not want to be straight in the show he wanted to be himself and play a gay character and shonda refused so he decided to leave
@@jazmingutierrez613 I thought he would come out as gay then he died-
@@jazmingutierrez613 that’s not it you lying, he left because Isiah Durke’s character called him an offensive word and he saw that Shonda wasn’t going anywhere with his character it was like a miserable circle he left, check his interviews please, remember before he left Izzy forgot about him, he cheated on Callie the season before, Lexie left him, he was just there he didn’t like that, so he asked to leave stop with the false narrative.
@@lostandnewship3462 I barely saw him in season 5
@@thisnigerianlovessuya exactly he saw everyone was having development and he was just there, in a miserable circle so he asked to leave.
It took me months to watch after he died and I still only made it to 6x10 😕
When George left, it was clear that he was the glue holding Alex, Cristina, Meredith, and Izzie together. They all fell apart without him.
Bailey was his person
1:55
When she tells him to get off her but instead he gives her that extra hug squeeze. That’s love. That’s family. That’s George.
Everytime Bailey remembers George 😊 I just get so emotional and then she did to Amelia what O'Malley did for her when she was giving birth 😭💔 That literally broke my heart. They should've just sent him to the army, not kill him before he could go there.
Mine to 😭😭
Everybody thinks it’s Christine & Meredith’s relationship that the biggest but can’t touch Bailey & George’s as wow they went through more & thanks for doing :)
the parallel with the birthing scenes MADE ME CRYYYY
Me too 🥺
ashlyn boudloche DUDE ME TOO

She said her hating them wasn’t gonna change. We all know she lied, they were her children all of them.
The moment they started to just forget about George in the show was the moment I began to lose faith in the entire production. You can keep going after that and have great moments and great highs - but to lose sight of the purpose of such a great character just shows that you don't entirely get loyalty to your characters at all - and that was proven in time
Yes I remember watching and noticing the less screen time
Yeah, that's the reason TR left the show, he saw that george was being behind and forgotten and felt bad about that
Me too, it was like he never existed and he did!
Same.
Such a good character.
There are very few characters on TV that when they died, made me cry. He played this character so well. When he helped Bailey with the birth and you could see when she was crushing his hand he just dealt with it. It was a funny part but showed the connection and compassion he had for her. A fitting send off with him giving his organs to save many others
george and tuck was so cute and bailey naming tuck after George was the cutest thing ever
It really was 🥺
Everybody loves George, even Bailey
I remember Sloan asked what George has that all these women fall for her
It's his heart and soul
The guy is a good soul
If only they could bring back Derek, George, Christina, Callie, Alex, Mark, Lexie, Arizona, and April.
what about lexie and mark????????

I loved their relationship! And the way he took care of Bailey when she was in labor…George was a sweetheart and he loved his Dr. Bailey. As tough as Bailey would act, she always held George dear. ☺️
And here come the waterworks. I thought I was over George’s death... clearly not. 😭
Same..
Bailey & George's relationship was special. I don't even think the show realized what they were doing.
December 18, 2020 - I love this... Indeed, George O'Malley was Bailey's favorite. It was nice to have him Bailey, Meredith and Richard all standing on the beach together, which showed us, Meredith, Bailey and Richard are the last remaining original cast members on the show.
My birthday
And bokee!! (Idk how to spell her name)
Yesss
@@lydiamartin269 oh I didn’t catch that part when Mark said that and him not having the will to live makes sense because Lexie was his all
@@lydiamartin269 I am not sure about that.
George O'Malley was the best. He loved everyone as a friend, but he was the loneliest of them all.
Sad!
@@lydiamartin269 did you copy and paste my thoughts? 😂
@@lydiamartin269 I totally agree with you what you said.
the actor asked Shonda to make George gay but she wouldn’t so instead he asked to kill the character 😞🥺
Oh, I really miss George, Izzie, Cristina, And Alex.. I miss the original interns..
“He’s my favorite. George O’Malley and her personal seeing who gets what organ got me I really didn’t expect to ugly cry so hard
It’s 2024 and I still cannot watch this without sobbing, maybe one day I’ll be able to do it but not today…
George was everyone's favorite 💖 .I still tear up. It was so good to see him, I just wish Bailey could have.
That organ donation scene....gets me every time.
And now I'm crying. I did not want to cry at Christmas day, but here we are.
4 months later I’m here crying again. What is wrong with me, oh my god.
Bailey sounded so damn proud when she told mer that George was her favourite.

I hate the fact that George died but I love the fact that he saved someone's life. RIP GEORGE O'MALLEY
He was everyone’s favorite
“You…are Dr Bailey”. That said everything about their relationship.
Yeah, but I was waiting for the scene where she yells at him to stop looking at her vajayjay!
Aww Bailey and George was a great team
George was so pure 🥺 by far the best finale scene they had with the realization it’s George and Izzie being in the elevator and George in uniform on the other side, hinting that it wasn’t Izzie’s time to die but it was for George which is why he hesitated in front of the elevator and didn’t get on. 🥺
In a show full of grey characters, George is the closest Shonda got to a white character, and she killed him. Just like life, always takes the good ones first.
White character? What does that mean? Just curious
@@Sophie-yx7xr it means a character who is purely good a white knight
@@Sophie-yx7xr It's the "morality spectrum" characters are put on based on their actions, motivations, and characterization simplest way to put it: grey= mix of good and bad at varying degrees (an example if doing the wrong thing for the right reason), black= all bad, and white= all good. Dr. Bailey the mom of the group. Georgy was just adorable and loveable,he loved Tuck too, hard not to see why Miranda loved him more. Like work mom and son duo, both my favorites. Broke me when O'Malley was killed off💔😭. Glad to see him on the beach.
My God she is a phenomenal actress. Just simply stunning.
Bailey loved George like he was her son...and she will never forget him ❤️😭
DeLuca was Bailey's 2nd George.
This still makes me cry like it’s the first time I watched it
It does not matter how many times I have seen this, I still cry every time like it was the first time.
I wasn't expecting to cry today for a character of a show I have never watched...but here I am crying my eyes out in my office. Such a beautiful and heart-wrenching video
Now hes back in season 17, in Meredith's dreams telling her to keep going
As someone who has lost their father, big brother, little brother in motor vehicle accidents and almost died myself in a motorcycle accident... O'malley was the underdog that you couldn't help but to love and cheer for.... His characters death hit me on a different level
If George was still alive him and tuck would be best friends and tuck would have loved him so much.
The little smile on George’s face after Dr Bailey gave her first speech to the newbies 😍😍😍
Oh man they had such a good dyanamic
This is so beautifully put together. The 2 birthing scenes were so perfect and the fact that you honored Bailey's experience with George when she was giving birth is classic Grey's.
he was my favourite character he was going to be an amazing surgeon he deserved so much better
I don't know why I keep coming back to this video when it crushed me and makes me cry like a baby... but it is so beautiful, George was such a great guy and he had the sweetest relationship with Bailey.
this was very emotional and I loved their bond sm, it's so special and George was such a compassionate, kind, awkwardly funny at times and so good hearted charatcter, I wish we got to see him grow as a person and a doctor and they didn't killed him off
The relationship between Bailey and George was iconic and no other relationship is this great
Miss him still bad decision to take him off the show best doctor on the show never find a more compassionate doctor put other people before himself a true angel if there ever was one 😔
God i loved OMalley. The 2 only times GA has made me cry: Georges Death and his cameo this season.
Mine was George’s death and when Meredith was trying to tell everyone about dereks death
I stop seeing Grey's Anatomy at the moment when George died, it was and it will always will be heartbroken, he was my favorite character
George undoubtedly was going to be the best of all of them. He was the most compassionate physician of them all.
George O’Malley will forever have a place in my heart because even if ppl doubted him he still did what he had to do
“George O’Malley was my favorite” absolutely broke me
When Lexi could tell it wasn’t George had me bawling my eyes iut
Not just my favourite character but also an example of how a human being should be
I’m just now catching it but if you watch George when Bailey says her 5 rules, he smiles at the end of of the one where she says she doesn’t like them.
The parallels between Bailey and George during the birth scenes made me cry honestly 🥲🥲🥲
