      Id like to think before the show ends, whenever it ends, that all the people that received his organs go to Grey-Sloan and meet Bailey. I imagine they start to introduce themselves, no other context, and Bailey realizes and starts to break.

    I know it’s not his fault but I think Bailey still holds a little grudge on Owen Hunt. The way she talked to him about telling George about the army, the trauma surgeons, and enlisting just hit different. It’s kind of like she was saying (or at least mentally saying), “Why would you tell him that and then expect him not to go. You’re going to get one of my babies killed.” Miranda Bailey was basically George’s work Mom

    • @lydiamartin269
      @lydiamartin269  3 роки тому +369

      Yeah I definitely think Bailey holds Owen a little responsible even though isn’t really “his” fault. I think she knows that he didn’t mean to convince George to join the army but I also feel like she can’t help but feel resentful and hold him semi responsible for what happened to George, even though she knows he had good intentions.

      [RANT] I haven't watched the show for ages but, I'm with Bailey on this one! I still hold a grudge against Owen for George. Seriously. I wasn't too keen on him when he tried to convince Izzie it was ok to hurt the pigs but, when he started waxing lyrical about trauma surgery in Iraq to George without telling him he was suffering for PTSD I went right off him. I was never the same about the character after that and don't even get me started about his relationship with Christina. [/RANT]

    • @ziggystatdust6008
      @ziggystatdust6008 2 роки тому +35

      I'm late to this reply, but Owen didn't push nor tell George into joining the army. He had already made up his mind. George has began to feel like an outcast to his friends; everyone had moved on, or were in relationships or were too busy to even check on him. He wanted to go somewhere for a new change. Owen had once complimented him that he would be a great army trauma surgeon, and I think that may have sparked the idea. The scene where he was talking to Owen and they had hugged, George had already signed up, and was merely asking for advice. So no, I don't blame Owen, neither do I blame George. He did what he thought was best for him. Unfortunately, life can sometimes be cruel.

    • @hannawilck7571
      @hannawilck7571 2 роки тому +10

      @@ziggystatdust6008 agreed. I've never blamed Owen for that. Owen simply shared his thoughts and George felt that he could help the wounded soldiers. He knew what he was doing. No one was pressuring him to do anything. "He was the good one"- Meredith

He sacrificed his life for another person and knew he was going to die but he didn’t care because he knew he was saving a life. He knew that she would live. And he knew that what he did was right. I'm not that mad that they killed him off. I'm mad at how they handled his death later on. How Alex kept trash-talking him, and Meredith pretended they weren't actually really close, or how Cristina just didn't care. Because they all did. George touched every single one of their lives in a different way, and they were all pretty close. With the exception of Izzie, they didn't really show how his death affected them. But then again, Grey's doesn't portray grief that well. The only person who really showed George the recognition he deserved after death is Bailey.

      Izzie and Bailey are the only people since George's death affected them (which after a while Izzie left), but Izzie also suffered greatly from the death of her best friend and soul mate. (unless she told Alex that she wanted the tumor to occupy her brain so much and end up dying along with George), she missed him terribly. and Bailey felt sorry for him, he helped take care of her baby, he comforted her at the time of delivery and hugged her and she never forgot what he did for her guardian, and Izzie will never forget her best friend, her kiss, her hug, take her hand in the most difficult times and when they make love. Izzie will never forget what happened in her life and Bailey will never forget what happened in her life. they are grateful for George O'malley or 007;

      I agree, George brought so much light and heart into the show. And now with him being killed off it’s slowly lost what made it feel so special. I do think that it was a pretty good show up until Christina left.I still watch the show and I’ll probably watch it until the very end. But I do think that’s it should’ve ended a long time ago. I’ve always said Greys lost what made it so special once Lexie and Mark died and then Christina left. Honestly it probably should’ve ended when Christina left or when Derek died.

      I agree. O’Malley deserved so much better. They could’ve had him leave to join the army like he was supposed to and then have him come back a season or two later. I’ve always said that if they were gonna write off Izzie’s character that they should’ve just killed her instead of George. I rewatch Greys a lot but I’m gonna be honest once they killed off Mark, Lexie, George, and then had Christina leave it lost what made it so special. Yes their are new characters on the show that I love like Jo. And as much as I love and adore the show I feel like they need to just end it soon. Every character that made the show so special has either died or left, like Alex, April, Arizona, and Callie. They bring in new characters and I feel like they are doing that for the wrong reasons. Like with Maggie, I feel like they just brought her in because they realized that it was a mistake to kill of Lexie so they brought her in to somehow try and replace the sister dynamic of Meredith and Lexie. Which they failed at miserably. The show also used to have a lot of humor in it and now it doesn’t.
